Rhaphidophora decursiva 'dragon tail'

Now that it's in a different window and I remade the coco/moss pole with tubing in it to water it, it's thriving. These 3 leaves happened in the last 3 weeks.

Rhaphidophora foraminifera.

This climber has two rows of irregular holes along its leaf midrib. The ecological significance might be that it pretends herbivory holes to avoid potential herbivores since plants can produce antifeedant chemicals in response to herbivory.

Two days ago I decided to not extend the pole and I cut the top off of my rhaphidophora decursiva. I was thinking I could extract the cutting from the pole but no. I cut it out and there was a ball of roots and I ended up cutting a hole in the new pole and pushed the ball in, the hole might have caused it to be wobbly or maybe it would have been regardless. Hopefully it will work out. He went from being the second tallest at 115 cm to only 38 cm. Hopefully he will continue growing, magically get stable and produce pretty leaves.

After growing at an insane rate my rhaphidophora decursiva stopped and grew a leaf, yay! He now looks ready to grow some more... this creates a slight problem. He’s already a bit wobbly and if I extend the pole he will be even worse and not fit the window anymore (I am temped to buy a bench and place by the window). Currently 115 cm to the tip of the new leaf, second tallest plant in my collection (Frank the Fiddle Leaf Fig is 130 cm)

So I’m unsure what to do here but I’m leaning to trying to extend the pole. I do my moss poles similar to Sydney Plant Guy but with the materials that are available here, for example, I haven’t found a plastic covered metal mesh so mine is plastic only which might be a reason why my pole is a bit unsteady.

Rhaphidophora decursiva

He’s been on a moss pole since July 23 and he’s growing, a lot! But no new leaf, still a green rat tail. I put a string into the pole to make it easier to keep the pole moist and the roots are attaching themselves, going straight through the pole.

I think and hope that there’s a hint of a new leaf, I really hope so. Surely it’s the lack of leaves that makes it grow so fast. If he was developing leaves it would grow slower.

I cut him on May 1, and since he has grow a lot.

Based at the rate since I cut him he will reach the top of the pole in 48 days. but based on the numbers since August 24 days. Maybe he will slow down a little as we are getting closer to autumn. I’m unsure to how stable an extension of the pole would be. I would give it a try but, already tilting. First we reach the top of the pole and then we’ll see what we’ll do about it.

Advice needed; this is my raphidophora decursiva (dragons tail), who will not stop giving me runners. What conditions does this plant need to put out leaves?

I've tried boosting the humidity, moving her to a brighter location and tying the runners up to a wall. In the past just pinning a runner up was enough for the plant to think it is climbing
