Honestly, I feel like sometimes they just work in silence, writing notes at his place but there are little things like handing drinks & food to each other, still in silence, but they've worked together for a bit to know that the other hasn't eaten or drank anything in the last hour or more, just showing that at least Karen is comfortable enough around him to let her guard down just a bit.
