dettlaff/syanna?
I’m afraid I’m not sure if you’re asking me for art of them or just asking my opinion of them, so here:
I’ve painted Dettlaff and Syanna together a couple of times, and my thoughts about them have changed a lot over time. I think they truly could’ve been happy together, but that Syanna just couldn’t comprehend someone loving her so genuinely, someone who never had an ulterior motive, and decided to cut it off and be the one to hurt rather than the one to get hurt.
The way she used Dettlaff was awful, and tracks with what she’s become: cold, detached from empathy and using others only to further her goals. If she’d allowed herself to be vulnerable and properly open up to him, though, I think that they would have both found peace being ‘monsters’ together. Instead, they both become what people always told them they were- an evil manipulator and a violent attacker.
Redanian Herbal tasting (reminder: this is a delicious red vodka, called "stern" in honor of King Radovid the Stern). But Syanna is no longer afraid of anything, because she has tried the Regis' mandrake moonshine.
Radovid : This is delicious Redanian Herbal. No wonder they call it “stern” in my honor!
Syanna : Hah! I have tried vampire’s mandrake moonshine, I’m not afraid of anything anymore!
