So, in your personal opinion, what is the true role of an artist? I have this very clear for myself, but I wanted to hear from you. Is the artist someone who merely creates pretty visual “products” to sell and pay her bills? Or is it someone who has a dyer need to express their intense feelings through it, regardless if it looks “good” or if its sellable? Should the artist even care what would look good above some rich person’s couch? Or should the artist allow its soul to communicate so purely and personally, that no one would dare to buy that painting? What is the most important thing for an art piece to have: beauty or meaning? Does an honest expression matter? Does the message the artist deliver to the community it speaks towards matter? Or is a painting good as long as its honest, even if it has a destructive message? Or does the artist also have the important responsibility to work on themselves, become a good person and purge out the demonic influences? Should the artist deliver painting/portals that bring medicine to his tribe, or is it cool if it also provides visual poison? Is it ok for the artist to be an “asshole” who makes art from that vibration and can celebrate negativity through it? In a sick world, polluted with corruption, is it the artists role to rise up past its own human limitations, to become his potential, and to create a bridge to move closer to the heart of the Universe (being Love)? Or as long as one is being “himself” (or merely an aspect of herself) is it’s ok to do art to be “cool”, gain status, money, respect and all other ego rewards of this superficial world. Is it ok to receive the material blessings and rewards of the physical world, as long as the spiritual intentions are clear, pure and guiding our actions? I know my answers, it boils down to Service, both for myself and my human tribe (and it’s infinite light Center). What about you? These are rhetorical questions but I’d love to have a healthy exchange of opinions, if possible. #questions #rhetoricalquestions #rhetoricalquestion #theartist #role #mission #responsibility #drawing (at Montreal, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzGMY2bH35w/?igshid=ajmizu4pgiul
