Autumn in the Rhodope mountain, Bulgaria

A cold autumn morning. Mist descends and covers everything around. Yet the sun does not give up and tries to show itself. Bay Vasil takes the animals out to drink water. We start talking. He tells me how two of his lambs got sick. "One" he says "I failed to save, the other is better. I give him antibiotics, that's it". He takes care of them as children. He offers me to pick apples from the tree next to the shed. "Let me give you a sack, there are many" he tells me. "Thanks, I'll just try it, let it be for you" I answer him. The apples are small, as small as they are, they are juicy and tasty. We talked about life in the mountains, and the fog lifted, beauties (of nature) appeared and we went on our way. We parted with a wish to see each other again, alive and well.
