today, the one who delivers the mail is in a really low mood, he carries a basket, muttering and complaining how this even made it so far. "captain isuka," he announces. "i do not desire to complain but this mister blonde, i believe he's overstepping several laws of the book." truth to be told, he didn't find any law that forbid captains to receive such things. he walks over and places the basket on the table, a cat looking curiously at the marine, tilting her head.
The captain raises a brow, looking up from her paperwork and towards the mumbling officer. She'd been expecting another order to have come in, or perhaps some bad news - but her interest is immediately piqued upon the mention of 'Mister Blond'. A new gift from Sabo?
Gesturing for the other to come closer, she tries her best not to look too excited. Her head tilts simultaneously with the feline's, both staring at each other for a moment before she carefully lifts the animal out of the basket. "Cheer up, Private. This is a good thing. Cats bring good luck to a ship, you know." She speaks calmly.
After dismissing the man, she waits until she's positive that nobody is listening before standing from her seat - lifting the cat up into the air with a bright grin and an uncharacteristic sparkle in her eyes.
"Aren't you just the cutest! Oh, this is the best gift ever!" She laughs, bringing the feline back in to cradle it against her chest then as she gently scratches a finger beneath its chin. "Now then, you're going to need a name..."
