"Wh-what?!" Her hands automatically went to her face, thinking that she had scratched herself or gotten a bruise. Did she? There was no mirror to check….

Rhys gnawed on his nails as he awaited for Guinevere to come over. It took a lot to talk to Mariah to convince her to talk to Guinevere for him, but she agreed to it and now was coming over shortly. He was exceptionally nervous, and didn't want to blow this like last time. Rhys got up from the couch and soon paced by the door, waiting for her arrival.
Guinevere was a little confused as to why it was Mariah asking her to see Rhys. Why didn't he want to ask her himself? But she didn't question it too long. She agreed to the meeting anyway. Heading over to his place, she was running a little late after she ran into a little trouble on the way. But she hoped he wouldn't mind too much.
Now finally there, she knocked on the door, adjusting her dress as she waited for him to answer the door.
Being hopelessly persuaded by Mariah to go see Guinevere again, Rhys ultimately complied to his future step sisters wishes. She wasn't happy to know that Rhys was being incredibly shy around Guinevere, so she set them up on a little...date. Just a stroll and lunch. Nothing too big. The two were to meet up at the small park next to the apartment Mariah lived in. So, there he was, anxiously sitting and tapping his feet as he waited for Guinevere to show.
Granted she had given Mariah the go-ahead to set her up with Rhys, but now she felt like her friend was trying to push matters. A date? It didn't really seem like Rhys was comfortable with such a thing, so Guinevere avoided it. It would just be easier on both of them. But still, here she was, dressed a nice dress she and Mariah had picked out and heading toward the park to meet him. Hopefully this wouldn't be some kind of disaster...
Up ahead, she saw him, smiling lightly as she waved. "Hey there..."
