Committing some time to slow down. I’ve been thinking a bit about patience these last few days. How much do I have? How much do I require from others? How do I find more of it? Where does it come from? How much do I spend being patient? Is there only an allotted amount for each day? If patience requires energy spent then how much energy am I willing for interactions to cost? I don’t have many answers to the spinning wheel of questions my mind is able to muster. However, I decided that patience is a practice. Just as peace and faithfulness. So I decided to grab a Paint by Numbers canvas off Amazon. Little did I know when I opened it that I had chosen an “expert” level piece. Little by little and inch by inch I am committing the time to practice patience. To slow down, to be thoughtful, to be wholly present while I fill in each minuscule portion. Should I attempt to rush, or breeze through it. I will rest my eyes and start somewhere else on the canvas. Carefully selecting the time and energy it will require. Like many things in my life I dove in a little carelessly but from experience I know that if I keep my commitment, should I continue to sow the seeds, God will water the soil and cause something beautiful to grow. 👩🌾🌳🕊 #coloradolife #slowdown #rhythmsofrest #patience #faithfulness #paintbynumbers #treesoflife https://www.instagram.com/p/CiYYmXWAMOq18T-YEtzNrIbUflWdghhh_CWfmo0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
