Event 01. - Festival of the Sun | END

The sun sets on another day, and life goes on in Solias, just with fewer tourists-- although some do stay for the warmer weather. The fireworks sizzle and bang to showcase the end of a glorious festival, one that will occur again next year on the longest day.

The Chancellor had already returned to their cottage. “No, no.” They muttered, something wasn’t right, only the dream reality should be doing this, but there was no mistaking it: the festival had some sort of effect on some of the citizens of the four regions. Perhaps the magic was leaking into the real world at an accelerated rate.

The Chancellor adjusted their glasses. “I must stop this.” They said-- knowing full well they couldn’t, that they had tried, but at a race like this it would be sooner rather than later when power would ultimately fall into the wrong hands.

The sun set on laughter, but the moon rose on the magician’s chaos, which had only just begun.

So that’s it for our first event! Any participation-- mini, starter, or reply nets you the following reward:

*Medium sized memories may either be one minute of any major event or one minor event in their dream lives

You do not need to contact The Chancellor’s blog for regaining memories as we do this on the honors system. Powers must be approved though.

The festival was still in full swing, and although it could occasionally be frustrating for the locals to move about their daily business with myriads of tourists in the way, Aqua didn’t mind much. In fact, the only thing she found frustrating was that she wasn’t on vacation like most of these people. There were still days she had to lifeguard, although she supposed she would get her fun participating on Solias University’s diving team for the games.

For now though, until it was her shift at the beach, she was content to walk among the street vendors, fellow locals, and tourists alike. The streets were filled with bright colors (the ice cream stand in particular caught her eye, and not because they were also selling balloons there) and it truly was her favorite holiday of the year.

Aqua had spotted a few familiar faces in the crowd and smiled in greeting but one in particular stood out to her. “Hey Hakuno! What are you up to?” She recognized Terra’s younger adoptive sister-- she was about Kairi’s age, right? Better make sure she isn’t lost, or anything...

The sun blazes high in the summer sky, and the streets of Solias bustle and roar with cheers as the parade begins—bright floats and balloons of sea creatures smile and sparkle at the citizens and tourists that had come to see the affair. Many wear jerseys and memorabilia to commemorate the summer games taking place later on that week, while many of the younger crowd giggle with excitement about the dance and bonfire at the very end of the week, however, everyone can appreciate the fireworks display that follows immediately after.

It’s Solias’s Festival of the Sun.

Stay for a while!

For one week we will be having Solias’s Festival of the Sun! The festival starts off with a parade, and then segues into sporting events—think sporting events that are summer based! All high schools from Solias band together to create an All-Star team to face off against the All-Star high school teams from the other regions, and there’s also sporting events between the four universities of each region plus events at the professional level. Click here for more information on the university teams that have just been added!

Additionally, near the end of the event is a bonfire on the beach where there is also a dance (casual wear! You may breathe a sigh of relief, boys. No suits here!) hosted by a live band during a day and as the sun sets, a DJ! Once it ends there’s a display of fireworks that can be viewed from the coast of Solias, as the display is over the ocean.

The event will last one week unless we have an extension! We will post an interest check near the end of the event, and from there it will be extended one more week. There will be prizes for participation—and not just memories! So get to threading and enjoy yourselves!
