wip wednesday but I can't make up my mind so I'm making a poll
Option 1:
Angst, hurt/comfort. I just need to work on the ending and it's around 1,8k words so far. Trying to not spoil my favorite parts but this is the general vibe.
"Hit me" He begs "What? No." You are taken aback with his request. "Please," He insists. Why he needs violence to repent is beyond you, it's all he's ever known. He craves it as much as he does affection, sometimes even more, which is why you think he argues with you so often. He needs to hear you call him a jerk, an asshole, and every name in the book as much as he needs to hear you call him sweet pet names. "I deserve it"
Option 2:
This one is longer, it almost 4k words and im trying to figure out if I want it to have smut. Reader works for private forensic investigation office (yes i made that up after reading some papers lol) (so kinda forensic!psychologist reader) and the place gets taken over by Penguin. She becomes Red Hood's informant, and when her co-workers get killed he hides her in his apartment. Basically my excuse to write forced proximity and them being domestic lol.
He had been trying to be as nice to you as you were to him. Coming back home to home cooked meals was something he hadn't experienced in years, so more often than not, he'd grab a big bite nearly to the point of choking to not cry in front of you. You always talked to him, and always listened to what he had to say. His words never fell on deaf ears with you. He'd even dare to say you were making him happy, so he allowed himself to linger when you got too close. Maybe he dared to touch your waist as he moved behind you. Let you put your feet up on his legs as you both read in silence on the couch, remembering the first time you did it without thinking and quickly apologized as you cuddled back to your side. Then, feeling the warmth on his cheeks when he grabbed your ankles and put them back on his lap without looking at you in the eye, too embarrassed to admit he liked it. Isn't this what he always wanted? Someone to come home to?
