Dracthyr version of Riag makes me very pleased :3 He's been my main for Dragonflight so far, but as is tradition I bring a new character through each first run of expansions. So with the new one coming up I'm still trying to pick a kiddo. But in the mean time have some grumpy flower dragon boyo!
Riag's escaped containment and is now a Dracthyr. Go from Dragon minion to Dragon minion amiright? Anyway yes my official main in WoW as well to no one's surprise, so I gotta.
Musing on Riag and Hearne. It was not love at first, second, or even fifth sight. It was love, not peacefully unfurling like a rose in spring. Not alighting like a petal on the skin. Or like the warm glow of whisky.
It was love red fanged and wild eyed, gnashing through the bars of its prison. Clawing itself out, until it's nails crack to the quick and there's more blood than paint on the door.
I sometimes forget, this man can do nothing in half measures. Ofc he wouldn't be able to fall in love normally. He reflects on it fondly but it was far from kind to him. It was love, and he loves, and he would do it forever. And it was kind eventually, but not at the start, especially since he was new to the whole emotion of it.
But sometimes I forget. I can't just lala love UWU like other characters - it's Riag and he's nothing but an intense mfer.

Back on my bullshit, but also a break from my bullshit.
On a break from the game since they fucking murdered my main (scourge mains, all 3 of us, we're in the prayer circle together).
I never did get to share the piece I ordered for Riag's birthday due to being on hiatus. It's by the fantastic @/anned_ on Fiverr, I don't think they have a tumblr but be sure to check them out if you're interested in them!
But yeah, my main is basically unplayable for now. Riag's getting camped back in the Grove until anet get their head out of their ass and stops trying to force roles on dps specs that don't need it things change. Which is why I'm not gonna be playing the game for a while.
But in the meantime it will give me some space to catch up on Tumblr things.

One of the things about the blorbos is that you can love them for traits and then love the lack of the same thing in others just as fiercely.
Like Riag's loyalty, determination, and unyielding nature is one of my favorite things about him.
One of my favorite things about Dei is their lack of that. They're not a ride or die - if you treat them poorly they hold it against you. There's not a fond space that they hold for you any longer.
They don't have a strong will or sense of self and will often change their arguments or views just to fit in with other people. Desiring to both be liked and also not perceived at all, wanting people to want to be around them but also to ignore their existence entirely.
Riag is very much a hero - Deiliús is very much not. And yet they both manage to endure things that 100% should have killed them (neither of them intended on surviving) and now have to deal with that wild blood flecked beast of a task, to live.
Hard to get along with, intense and not amiable and yet I hold the same amount of love for Dei, who is easy to get along with, mild, and considerate.
Riag will tell you the truth, knowing it will likely hurt your feelings but that's not his problem, you asked. He lets very, very few in but lets them know him entirely, raw pieces and all.
Dei will either soften it, wait, or lie to you, if they think telling you will cause more harm. They let people only know one side, one facet, and keeps their true feelings concealed. Ready to swap to another mask if needed.
They're both arguably good people with a lot of trauma and issues but on opposite ends of the scale in terms of personality.
