honestly theres no reason why men and women (and enbys and trans people ofc) shouldnt compete together in sports. If there is a natural dichotomy as you claim, and men end up dominating the leaderboards, then the top woman will just be known as the “top female in x sport” which is… already what we have now. There would be no real risk of us losing our titles- our titles are already different! When a mand the best in his sport, hes called the best player in the world. When a woman is the best player in the sport, shes still delegated to “best female” because we dont have the opportunity to even try to compete with our mail counterparts.

It would be a win win situation. If women really are no threat to men in sports, then theres no risk, women get to compete on a elevated playing field (and hopefully compensated as much as the men in their sport for once), and we can compete in binary sports as side competitions if we really want to keep gendered sports playing so girls can win medals. Team sports also are perfect for this because if the genders are different in physical capabilities, mixing women in equally on both teams should make it fair for everyone. Plus, removing the walls of gender means enby and trans people can play too without controversy, since its not your gender determining your skill, but your natural talent.

So why dont we implement this?

Honestly, I think its cause theyre scared. I think some men in the sports industry and shaken in their boots by the ideas that if we did have genderless sports, that somehow a woman would sneak into their ranks at the top. Maybe even multiple. Maybe would even push them out. And if they lost to a woman in their favorite sport, how could they live with themselves? Where does that put them in societies power dynamic?

Heres my message to them: if youre not scared, just do it. Degender the sports. Assert your dominance as the “strongest sex”- if you really believe that, then you have nothing to lose, right? Let us play on your field. Or do you know, deep down, in the end, you might lose to a girl?
