Elevate your barbecue game with these Smoked Asian Style Ribs, featuring a flavorful blend of soy, hoisin, honey, and aromatic spices. Perfectly smoked to tender perfection, these ribs are a delightful fusion of smoky and savory with a hint of sweetness.
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1/2 cup soy sauce. 1/4 cup hoisin sauce. 1/4 cup honey. 3 tablespoons rice vinegar. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger. 3 cloves garlic, minced. 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder. 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes. 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish.
Instructions: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, five-spice powder, and red pepper flakes to create the marinade. Place the ribs in a large resealable plastic bag and pour half of the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Preheat your smoker to 225F 107C. Remove the ribs from the marinade and let them come to room temperature while the smoker heats up. Place the ribs on the smoker grates and smoke for 3-4 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 190F 88C. During the last 30 minutes of smoking, baste the ribs with the remaining marinade every 10 minutes. Once done, remove the ribs from the smoker, sprinkle with chopped green onions, and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
