Forever disappointed that somehow the vague ideas of a possible Julimilia endgame in BTZ somehow became what I’m most known for instead of the Ricardo/Subaru one-shot, the emphasis on twincest being a valid read of Rem and Ram’s relationship in Dogshow, OR the whole “Julius tries to adopt Subaru” plot point in No Refunds.

It’s worth mentioning that in Bad Decisions, Rem still likes Subaru.

Subaru — doesn’t really like ANYONE, due to him being way too stressed to really develop any sort of crush, and also he never really got over the whole Torture thing in this version of events. But Rem’s crush is still going strong, even if she’s a little more restrained due to understanding that it would be a little too easy for her to scare Subaru off if she comes on too strong. This does mean that Subaru has yet to take the hint that she likes him, anyway.

With that being said — Subaru coming back having lost his virginity to a random guy in a bar somewhere after Rem spent TWO MONTHS trying to get him to warm up to her is. Ouch.

I think the only thing that could make your Ricardo/Subaru April fools fic funnier is if this version of Subaru, who has clearly processed some things that cannon Subaru refuses to, is actually able to be honest about his crush on Julius and thus ends up in a relationship with him upon coming to terms with the fact he can't get home. Like imagine Anastasia's reaction upon learning the same guy who fucked her dad seduced her knight too for good measure.

I’m really not worried tbh. It’s a fic about two grown ass men having a drunk one night stand at a bar, with the novelty being that it’s one of the absolute last ships anyone would have come up with for this series. That lot is just scrambling for something to get pissed about cause they already decided they wanted to waste their time picking a fight with me for some reason.

Alright I’ll bite, what does the fallout look like in Ricardo if? Does this change anything in Subaru’s relation with the ana camp or do he and Ricardo keep it on the down low with the occasional knowing look between them?

This Subaru seems quite different from regular Subaru so I kinda can’t seem him as the kiss and tell type.

I CAN however seem him making very vague references to it though.

I mean you’ve gotta keep in mind that Bad Decisions ended with Subaru completely ditching Ricardo before the guy could even wake up — and like, right after Ricardo had totally assumed that he had agreed to his plan to introduce him to Anastasia. So. That was kind of a dick move, and Ricardo’s chill but he’s still gotta be at least a little ticked off about that one, right? Also, Subaru might not be the kiss and tell type, but Ricardo strikes me as the kind of guy who gets into one-night stands all the time and then shamelessly runs his mouth about it the next morning lmao.

And then. Uh. So, Ferris has MET Ricardo before, right? So…he’d probably recognize his scent if Subaru stumbled back right after sleeping with him in the wee hours of the morning, right?
