My kiddos decided it would be fun to throw half of the rice in the sensory table on the floor. They helped clean up a little. I had to get a whole bunch up during naptime using a kid sized broom and dustpan.

I finally got to vacuum at the end of the day. I had never seen so much rice

Needless to say, the rice table was closed for the rest of the day.

hello, a cheap stim thing people can make is a rice table! you just get a plastic container and fill it with rice. u can bury your hands in it and use cups/shovels/toys to play in it. u can color the rice using hand sanitizer and food coloring to get rainbow rice. rice vacuums up easily if there are spills and a lid means you can store it when not in use. it feels really nice on the hands. (i suggest a shallower container/not super tall walls to make using it easier.) <3

Oh my goodness, I actually had one of those at my house when I was younger! I can attest, they’re pretty awesome. We had toys in there, little action figures and shovels and a toy dump truck and stuff. I didn’t know you could dye the rice, that’s so neat!
