Orihime looked pale, the color from her face drained. The maze wasn't even that scary. Don Kanoji had set up a haunt-a-ton with the help of local students in the area. They set up jump scare areas, build up, slow burns, all that good stuff.
Kurosaki-kun and her were paired off to go in as someone had suggested 'it was better in pairs'. They had gone in a group with some of their school's students, and they just happened to come together.
The gingered male seemed to go through without a hitch. Everything felt silly to him, after all, he'd seen and fought in hollows and spirits. Kurosaki-kun always seemed so unfazed by anything here at all. Orihime thought that at one point one of the ghouls dressed up jumped at the sight of her partner.
Orihime, on the other hand, jumped at EVERY scare.
Each time someone came up and screamed boo, or tried to grab her, or even just made a face. You could hear her voice echo through the sections and even some of the snickers of the others near them. The girl was just so easily frightened. One of the guys who tried to scare her came up right into her face, sticking his tongue out and her and just doing some bizarre things. His hands, at one point, tried to come forth and grab her.
The girl had covered her face but when she heard the ghoul yelp, her eyes opened to catch Kurosaki-kun grabbing the guy by the head and almost seeming like he threw him aimlessly into the crowd. His own golden brown eyes looked down at her in a much softer tone but with some seriousness to it due to the other harassing Orihime.
"Come on Inoue, let's go. We're almost at the end."
Her own honey-brown eyes watched up at him, a soft tint to her cheeks. Kurosaki-kun was always so kind, so dear to her. She just nodded and hurried behind him. Which ended up with her burying her face in his jacket near the end of it all. The screams and jeers of the scarers still got to her.
When they got to the end, the other said there was noting to be afraid of. Orihime just had a pale expression on her, eyes closed as she let out a nervous giggle.
"I-I think we got a different definition of scary, Kurosaki-kun." But she wouldn't have it any other way, how it ended.
