Hello! Apologies if this has been asked before, just wondering what you envision Charles and Crystal’s music to sound like in your AU? Funnily enough, Charles in my head sounds a lot like JCB song by Nizlopi, not vibes wise but very much his voice is quite emotive and at the core of his music (ie he can Sing) and if he dropped the production and went acapella no one would notice or care. As for Crystal, Izzy Bizu or Alunageorge? She has The Range and can play with genres but the assholes at their old company only let her do radio pop? Sorry that got long but I'd love to hear your thoughts if you have any :)

just listened to JCB song and i like it!!! Charles in my head is a bit like hozier in the sense that you can't always hear his accent when he sings, or his accent is stronger in some songs than it is with others. 100% on the "if he dropped the production and went acapella no one would notice or care" I like to imagine there's so many vids of him and crystal online just filming each other singing in the empty studio performing acapella versions of their own/eachothers songs/covers.
in terms of what their music sounds like: Charles' spotify profile says rock and apple music says alternative, while crystal's spotify profile says alternative and apple music says pop. I have a shit ton of maneskin in my charles playlist (bc the series title <3) some yungblud, some luke hemmings. at some point he does a truely haunting cover of black hole sun on piano completely stripped back with just his voice and it definitely goes viral and gains him some new fans
crystal is trickier for me bc i have spent more time working on charles but yes i LOVE Izzy Bizu and 100% agree with you! also you're spot on with your guess that old label wanted her to fit into that specific pop girly box. she wanted to branch out with her lyrics and style and the prev label was always like "haha no </3". but now!!! i can see her putting out a darker/more emotional/edgier album or EP where she opens up about her past trauma and addictions (which we will get into soonish. in a future fic or several). she is only on her second studio album (charles is on his third) so she has plenty of time and space to spread her wings and experiment!
on her playlist i have a lot of halsey, some kimbra. she can Sing sing. she eventually blows up sabrina carpenter style. she and charles do many many collabs together and get a tour like charli xcx & troye sivan
