Sanctuary Church’s Richard Panzer on Hyung Jin’s Trip to Japan and Hak Ja Han’s Recent Claims
Excerpts from “The GATE to JAPAN Has OPENED! FALL OF THE HAN EMPIRE” by Richard Panzer, written last week on June 22, 2022. He claims Hak Ja Han believes Sun Myung Moon to be a fallen man since 1960. There have been rumors that Hak Ja Han has been openly speaking about Sun Myung Moon having failed and telling members to do conditions for him in the Spirit World. These revelations have shaken many Japanese members, which has led a number to recently join Sanctuary Church.
He never expected to return to Asia. But after winning against the FFWPU’s lawsuit against Sanctuary for using the Tongil mark, God called them to Korea and now to Japan. FFWPU was created to serve God’s providence but it was corrupted. They give awards to advocates of abortion like former UN Secretary Ban Ki Moon. Abortion clinics have been selling body parts. South Dakota just passed a law that after the heart beat can be heard, it is illegal to end the life of an unborn child. . .
Everyone is made in God’s image, but we are not His children unless we freely choose to accept Him. Hak Ja Han chose wealth and power. In the June 10th Declaration, Father wrote that anyone opposing his anointed successor would be a heretic and destroyer. Father made her read it as well. Who would have believed that it referred to her?
In recent weeks she has said that she believed SINCE 1960 that he was a fallen person who had failed. Then why did she marry him? What does that say about her character?
She cast away 2 of her sons since they wouldn’t go along with her heresy. Hyung Jin Nim and Kook Jin Nim pleaded with her, but she screamed, “I have absolute power! I am God!” she had 10 years to do whatever she wanted. Meanwhile Hyung Jin Nim focused on building the Kingdom culture.
FFWPU leaders cursed him and said his duty in Korean culture was to just follow his mother. But our loyalty is to God, not “tradition.” It was a struggle to raise the funds to fight the lawsuit. But with the power of God, we won that lawsuit!
In April she ordered FFWPU theologians to rewrite the Divine Principle to say that she was the 2nd Coming as the “Only Begotten Daughter.” Now she has announced a new tax of $20K from each couple to build a new palace in Cheongpyeong. The “Death Star” is collapsing.
Everywhere Hyung Jin Nim spoke he asked, “is anyone paid to be here? If so, please leave immediately!” No one stood up. The halls were just filled with people who love Christ. The Holy Spirit won’t come where people are insincere, only where there is real love for God.
Hoon Dok Hae in Seoul went on for 7 hours. People could see True Father sitting on the stage! Every single one in a skeptical group that attended decided to receive the Blessing to return to TF’s authority!
In Japan 2,000 families have returned to True Father’s authority. The FFWPU is losing the trust of members. You cannot worship God and Mammon. They are selling off providential properties to build the new palace. It will only lead to more people leaving.
A mob boss in Yeosu would come to Hoon Do Hae. He would bow to True Father even though he owned most of Yeosu because he loved him. After Hyung Jin Nim was forced out of FFWPU and remained in America, the mob boss called up FFWPU leaders and told them “you better do what True Father told you to do!” Even a leader in the fallen world can see what is right to do.
The day of awakening, judgment and harvest is at hand! All of us should fully realize that we are sinners saved by grace. Who has lied the most to us? Ourselves!
The same week they won the court case and went to Korea, the mask mandates were lifted. The limits on group meetings were also lifted. Then during the tour, Japan revoked the tourist ban. Clearly God is opening up the gate for us! . . .
The troubles around the world will quicken the coming of God’s Kingdom, so we do not need to dwell in fear. More and more will realize that Satan’s kingdoms do not work and begin to take responsibility at the local level. Despite the failure of Hak Ja Han, True Father succeeded. The 2 brothers succeeded and then True Father sent True Mother Kang, even in her old age, to speak out on behalf of the anointed 3 Generations Kingship. Do not focus on happiness, which is temporary. Focus on the joy of the Lord, focusing on His will, not on “me.” When we realize that “I” am not the center of the universe, we become free. No matter how bad it gets, remember that God wins and His Kingdom comes.
Sanctuary Church’s Richard Panzer’s 2019 Review of a Komaba Group Book
First of all, who are the Komaba Group?
Below is a warning about the group issued by FFWPU over four years ago, translated from Japanese.
This is a spiritual group centered on the Kumiko Komaba couple (30,000 couples). [Kumiko and her husband, Seung-cheol Lee from S. Korea.] They have formed a group with their own teachings, and conduct recruitment activities towards UC / FFWPU members and are causing confusion.
Their method is to pretend to be church members. They approach members of the church by insinuating the Japanese translation of the words of Father were mistaken. They are stealing Father’s words. While doing so, they are trying to plant doubts in people’s faith. Financial damage has also been reported, so members need to be very careful.

The Komaba Group has been active for at least four years, maybe much longer. It seems they are very aggressive about getting money from recruits, with a three day ceremony to donate everything.
They seem to demand their believers work hard to recruiting members.
There are rumors that in Japan higher-ups in the FFWPU are secret members, perhaps Hiroyu Horii and Nobuo Okamura.
And in Brazil people have been saying that the President of UC, a Chinese woman, is a secret member, as well as the ex-continental director Shin Dong-Mo.
HWDYKYM: Richard Panzer of Sanctuary Church had dialogued with Komaba group members briefly in 2019. By 2020, the consensus among Sanctuary Church members was that the Komaba group was similar to Vision Root and other organizations that reject the necessity of a single leader and inheritor other than the blessed central families. It’s said that Nikolaus Beutl has joined this group. Here are Panzer’s reflections on a book by the Substantial Word Group:
Reflections on the Substantial Word Group's Book Part One
Several brothers and sisters have asked me about the "Substantial Word Research Group" and their new book, Foundation Day and Seongwha: The Kingdom of God Father Left Behind. I recently participated in a 3 hour discussion with brothers and sisters involved with this ministry and would like to share some reflections centering on 4 issues, covering two this week and two next week.
1. I resonated with the book's focus on True Father's words about the crucial roleof personal repentance and a true life of faith, mind/body unity and judgment by God's Word, Heart and Character. I agreed with the book's statement that our salvation is NOT based on a) faith of indulgences, b) slave-type faith, c) faith of achievements, or d) conditional faith. I appreciated the emphasis on connecting with God's heart and shimjeong, as Father taught us many times.
2. Unfortunately, the Foundation Day and Seonghwa book (FDS book) makes theological assertions about the lineage of the True Family and the True Mother role that I believe contradict the Divine Principle and Father's words. For instance, on page 45:
"Saying that one's mother has fallen implies that she was in a state of imperfection. What lineage would the children born from such a mother have? Can someone with that lineage be the successor? If they can, then what is the basis for that?"
And on page 46: "from this perspective, for one to claim their legitimacy as the true successor of God's lineage by virtue of having the same lineage (biologically), inevitably means that when he or she was born, the mother must have been perfect."
Clearly the FDS book is stating that for the children in the True Family to be born without Original Sin the "True Mother" must be perfect. Is that what Father taught? Or does the Substantial Word group really think that the anointed heir's claim is merely biological?
The Divine Principle explains that Christ must come "as the True Parent of humanity because only he can remove the original sin by giving rebirth to humanity, born of fallen parents (Exposition of the Divine Principle, p 179)." In Blessing & Ideal Family - I, Chapter 4, Father explained that "Before Christ came, woman was laboring as the archangel's wife. But when the Christ comes, the archangel will lose his bride to him."
In other words, Christ comes with the unfallen seed and restores a woman from the fallen world. The "True Mother" need not be "sinless" and she need not be perfect, as suggested by these words in the FDS book. In 1960 Hak Ja Han was prepared, but she was not "perfect." Neither were the two previous candidates. As can be seen in Father's statements below, despite her many trials and challenges, she sadly did not achieve perfection in later decades either.
True Father praised Hak Ja Han many times and encouraged her to fulfill her portion of responsibility in an extremely difficult course, but it is clear from Father's words in the last decade of his life that he was painfully aware that she was struggling. To give a few examples:
The Providence through the Blessing, Vol. 312, p. 177, October 15, 1999 Uruguay "Mother also must have Absolute faith, Absolute love, Absolute obedience. It is not centered on self. Absolute faith, Absolute love, Absolute obedience to Father. Therefore if Mother, who is present here, has her own thoughts and builds her own nest it will become a big problem. Rev. Moon will not be tangled up in that. But if that inevitably happens I will jump over that. I'll build a mountain again. Now we entered the Completion Era and if Mother does not fulfill her responsibility, there are plenty of candidates."
Sermons of Rev. Moon, Vol. 394, pp. 35~36, October 6, 2002 "Jesus was called "the only begotten son." This is an amazing word. He attended God as his Father, and said, "I am the only begotten son." The only begotten son is a first son of first love. God's hidden love is his root and everything should become the fruit which is connected to him. Although Jesus was the only begotten son, was there the only begotten daughter who was supposed to be his object partner? History of salvation is [history of] restoration. Where is the only begotten daughter? She is a fallen woman. A fallen woman. ("Absolute faith, love, obedience and a path for glorious establishment of fatherland," Oct. 6, 2002)
Volume 433, page 139, January 26, 2004 "Now, Mother is here too, but what the teacher is saying is that he wants to split with Mother and prepare for a new marriage. That is right. My God, she is still tainted! Of course, what I mean is not that I will form a family with someone else. What I am saying is that I cannot keep up my love for her. The slate needs to be wiped clean, and there has to be love anew."
Volume 489, pages 27-29, of Father's speeches, February 2004: "So finally the True Parent came along and worked hard in order to become one with God and lay claim to the body for eternity. You need to know this. Mother needs to be recreated, remade. There is nothing over which Mother can lay claim... Mother do you understand? You need to know your responsibilities and the responsibilities of Father."
Father continued by admonishing the leaders: "You wretched people. Do you know what happens when you peddle Mother who hasn't even succeeded in the divine right of kings? Satan will knock you down. In the United States the person who was the chair of the Women's Federation was asking these kids, 'Does Father respect or worship Mother?' And this bastard was teaching the kids that Father ought to worship her."
February 21, 2005 "Is there a center of the Unification Movement? Is there a family core? The teacher is enduring all these difficulties until now in order to overcome the tribulations that can only be overcome by properly establishing Mother... Unifying the world is easier than raising a woman and making an ideal wife of her...Mother does not know about this. She should be listening right now. She should know this. Do you know what she said yesterday? She said, 'Father works by the Principle but I do not.' "
July 3, 2005 "Mother needs to become completely united with Father by the time we enter the greater world. Mother does not know this. Until now, Mother has been just like any other woman in the world."
February 16, 2009 "I am trying to bring Satan under submission with the supremacy of the Garden of Eden, Mother is not able to. 97% is done but 3% is still remaining. While in Las Vegas, Father and Mother did not become one. She said, 'I won't listen to what Father says.' Had I responded to that, the two could have split and Father and Mother could have become unrelated people."
Comments: As Father has explained, True Parent's marriage in 1960 was the formation stage Blessing; only after 4 decades of family life could they receive God's Blessing on the growth stage. The final completion level Blessing which was originally scheduled for January 2012 and then postponed to Foundation Day was never substantiated. That is the ever so sad and shocking reality with which God was faced in respect to what has happened at this time of the Second Advent.
Until his last dying breath, Father prayed for Hak Ja Han to overcome. Can you imagine how much Father suffered knowing that his wife of five decades had long ago divorced him in her heart? Wasn't this the worst crucifixion he had to endure? After Mother cast him out in early 2013 for not supporting her Only Begotten Daughter heresy, Hyung Jin Nim also waited two years before "Breaking the Silence" in order to awaken brothers and sisters to what really was going on.
But as Father said in 1999, there were other candidates. Father instructed several sisters not to get married. Later he blessed these sisters to saints in the spirit world. After Hak Ja Han's rebellion to Father's clear directions became evident, one of these sisters, Hyun Shil Kang, at the age of 89 exhibited extraordinary courage and faith by coming to Pennsylvania to attend and support True Father's anointed heir, Hyung Jin Nim. Her doctor warned her that she might die if she took the long distance flight to America. She was in fact willing to do so.
On September 23, 2017, this outstanding sister, his first disciple in South Korea, whom Father called the "Mother of the Unification Church," was blessed to True Father in the Perfection Level Holy Blessing of True Parents. His shattered heart must be healed knowing that this exceptional sister risked her life to love and attend him one more time.
As explained in the Divine Principle, if Christ's physical lineage is of no importance, then He did not have return to the earth a second time. Restoration is BOTH physical and spiritual. That is why Father said an heir from his direct lineage would always serve as the center point to preserve his teachings and continue the providence.
It is also true that Hyung Jin Nim's qualification to be the anointed heir is not just based on the fact that he is one of Father's sons. Father asked him and Yeonah Nim three times if they had kept purity until marriage. Fortunately, they were victorious in this area, which is one of the reasons they have a beautiful Absolute Sex marriage and two decades of experience as parents that new and older blessed couples continue to benefit from. Hyung Jin Nim did not seek this position and he did not appoint himself. He simply surrendered to Father's heart and will that he serve in this role.
It is regrettable that the Foundation Day and Seonghwa book does not clearly discuss the facts that True Father anointed his youngest son three times and said he was more qualified than any other person in the True Family or in the entire Unification Movement. The brothers and sisters from the Substantial Word group say that they and Mrs. Komaba know that Hyung Jin Nim is the anointed heir whom Father chose. If that is correct, she should clearly say so. It is not her job to evaluate his worthiness when True Father himself said he is exceptionally qualified far beyond anyone else.
Reflections on Substantial Word's Book- Part 2
"Today, at this time, there must only be one line of authority. The center, centered on Korea or on the world, over the entire Unification Church will stretch out and become larger. From now, I can leave someone in charge of my work on my behalf. Currently, there is no one among our church members who surpasses Hyung Jin in his standard of faith or in any other way. Do you understand? I am appointing him." SMM, April 16, 2008, Korea
In last week's discussion of the Foundation Day and Seonghwa book written by Kumiko Komaba and her husband, Seung-Cheol Lee, I raised questions about whether the Substantial Word Research Group honors True Father's anointing of his youngest son, Hyung Jin Nim, as his heir and successor. Several brothers and sisters involved with this ministry assured me that they really do and I hope that is correct.
On the positive side, the Foundation Day and Seonghwa book reminds us of the importance for each of us to strive for perfection to attain God's sovereignty and authority. Each of us in our daily practice can and should maintain our relationship with Christ through prayer, reading his words and action.
Since they reject Hak Ja Han's claim to be the "sinless Only Begotten Daughter" it is not clear why they still believe that D-Day 2013 is still the day that Cheon Il Guk started. Although True Father completed his mission, there was one thing that Father could not do himself. As he explained in 2011, the Han Mother must "[put] me on top of the God of Day, must be able to attend to me as the God of Night. When it is done, everything is fully finished. If Mother does not do this, I will not go to that position."
"The Substantial God / God incarnate attends to the God of Night. I put Mother in that position and she must attend to me as I did to the God of Night. She is like my physical body. Even if Mother goes up to that position (of the God of Day) she must know that there is the God of Night upon her. She, putting me on the top of the God of Day, must be able to attend to me as the God of Night. When it is done, everything is fully finished. If Mother does not know this, I will not go to that position." April 12, 2011, "The Internal and External God Are Not Separate Entities"
Hoon Dok Hae, Cheon Hwa Gung, Las Vegas, NV
Since Hak Ja Han lifted up herself rather than her husband, it is clear that Father "did not go to that position." Instead of being a day of victory, it was a day of betrayal. Consequently those who drank the "Holy Wine" given out by the Family Fed or participated in that ceremony in February 2013 engrafted themselves into the Han Mother's fallen lineage.
Given this reality it is not clear why Substantial Word says it doesn't matter which Holy Wine you take, the one from Hak Ja Han's fallen lineage that has no seed or the one from True Father's faithful anointed lineage that does have the lineage of Christ. To say that "change of blood lineage" is purely spiritual ignores the fact that the main reason for Christ to return was to do what Jesus could not do at his first coming, establish a perfected Blessed Marriage and an unfallen lineage.
If the Holy Wine has no value in and of itself, then there would be little or no necessity for Christ's Second Coming, since Christ and the Holy Spirit already came to the earth 2,000 years ago. Just as Christians have been commanded to be baptized and to receive communion, those attending Christ at his Second Coming must engraft themselves into his lineage internally and externally through receiving the Holy Wine, especially the one made available through the perfection level Blessing of True Father and Hyun Shil Kang that took place on September 23, 2017 and the true "D-Day" that took place with with the Perfection Level and Book of Life Registration Blessing on February 28, 2018.
What also seems to be missing is a discussion of the role of the Central Figure for our age and why True Father appointed Hyung Jin Nim as a successor and chose his grandchild Shin Joon Nim to be the future 3rd King! As Father explained:
"There will always be a physical representative of the real father here on earth, from one generation to another, there will be that axis on which the earth will turn, so all of you here on earth and all the peoples of generations to how it will " SMM, The Will of God and the World (1985), p. 649.
Another concern I have is Substantial Word's contention that God's Nation is not a literal nation. As is stated on page 172 of the Foundation Day and Seonghwa book, "God's nation also cannot be seen or entered without being born anew. It is indeed not a nation that is somewhere on the planet earth, but a nation in the Holy Spirit." and on page 174, "does not have national borders and is a nation whose origin is connected to God. This is not a nation built by the forces of power, wealth, or military force. It is built solely through true love."
While it is true that God's ultimate goal is the restoration of the whole world and indeed the entire cosmos, it is also clear that True Father sought to restore a real, sovereign nation:
Without God's being able to find a nation of His choice, He cannot have other nations become one to make the whole world under God's will. SMM, The True Path of Restoration 1-11-72
In this sense, you should recognize how immature your faith is and how far away it is from the Principle. Even though some of you are attending this meeting for the first time, someone will receive consolation and feel joy centered on himself. However, though the Kingdom of God may exist in your own mind and God feels joy from you, it does not mean that the Kingdom of God has been established on earth. It may be an individual Kingdom of God, but it's not the whole Kingdom of God. From this viewpoint, what God desires is not the individual Kingdom of God. God does not feel joy seeing that. As far as the Kumabas' contention that True Love cannot have anything to do with power, wealth or military force, how do they explain the following statement:
"All Unificationists must take an interest in guns now that I have am doing business with guns while on earth. Why am I involved with guns? The satanic world has done its conquering with guns. Conquering the world with guns is not our intent, but we must bear arms and create a strong protective fence... Future generations will wonder why I was interested in guns. We absolutely need them to create a defensive fence to shield ourselves from satanic world attacks. That is why I am interested in guns." Last question -- is the gun in True Father's hand in the accompanying photo, an instrument of evil or an instrument of True Love?
Hak Ja Han’s Secret Wedding.... some words from Richard Panzer
On January 18, 2012 Hyo Nam Kim, known then as Hoon Mo Nim, officiated a wedding ceremony at the Cheon Jeong Gung palace between Mother and "God." Father did not participate, since he was in Yosu at the time, but when he learned of this, he quickly came back to lead the morning HDK on January 19.
He was furious and had Mother and four church leaders, Jeong Roh Yun, Jun Ho Suk, Peter Kim, and Sun Jo Hwang stand up in front of those attending. He demanded that Mother and the 4 leaders pledge absolute obedience to him.
Fefferman and Panzer will debate hypotheticals based on the many inconsistencies of Moon’s theology, but they will absolutely fail to delve into Moon’s reality because his reality flat out contradicts his theology.
You two gentleman should debate Moon’s life based only on facts, not on opinions. But that’s an impossibility – unless you admit he failed as a husband, father and leader.
Why don’t you debate how the world was saved by Moon. Why not debate how better off members are for having given their all to Moon’s two faced worldview – that is members who gave their all, not leaders on the payroll like yourselves.
You know what I mean, Moon’s ‘do as I say, not as I do’ worldview. Prove Moon didn’t speak to us with a forked tongue by showing us how his actions did match his words.
Prove to us that what you preached about Moon and his family actually has any merit; show us the perfection of his family. Keep to facts – wishful thinking doesn’t count.
Tell us how much money you made over the decades working for Moon, and then compare your salaries with how much fundraisers got paid, or how much members who worked in Moon’s business empire got paid. I know that most rank and file members got paid zero because I was one of them. Please, debate the justification for that reality, I’ll wait.

According to Mother's speech at EG on 5/23, the two male True Children to be respected and accepted by the Unification Movement, are those who cannot speak for themselves, since they are already in the spirit world. That's convenient.

Let’ s support True Father’s “Teshinja,” Hyung Jin Moon
A very harsh winter has ended. Life is springing up all over now. Yesterday, I attended the Sanctuary Church Memorial Day Weekend Sunday Service, which was also Pentecost Sunday when the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles who followed Jesus. I would like to share some thoughts I had.
Who put Jesus on the cross? How many times did Father, the returning 2nd Messiah, have to carry the cross during his life on earth? He appointed Hyung Jin Nim as the “Teshinja,” which in Korean means “representative body” or heir to carry on the providence with the FULL authority of True Parents.
I strongly feel that now we are in danger of putting Hyung Jin Nim and Yeonah Nim on the cross. God and True Father kept this purest couple to lead us in this time. That’s why Hyung Jin Nim and Yeonah Nim had to go out into the “Lord’s Valley” in Pennsylvania, wearing 2nd hand clothes and living in a house that they do not own.
At the service, it was as if he was giving his last testament and will to his five children, saying “even if I die, please work together with your mother.”
He said to his 3rd son, Shin Jun, to have faith in True Father’s word and appointment for his life as the 3rd generation successor. “Even if you are on the cross being crucified upside down, keep faith. Your mother will help you.”
Shin Jun fought to keep his emotions under control. Is it because, even at such a young age, he must think about such things and his future responsibility when his father is gone?
I believe that we, as brothers and sisters here in America, should rise up and protect this precious family! We shouldn’t be like the faithless Israelites who allowed Jesus to be put on the cross. Please pray for the protection of this family!
