I set up an on prem instance in a vm, I made it myself!!! I read documentation to make it but I still pressed the buttons on my keyboard so nbd... i've been doing a looker evaluation for our team and for the higher ups because well no body else wants to do it. i made users and permissions and roles and i made looks which are the dumb ass thing looker calls charts and well it's al pretty simple and non-developery. read a lot this last few weeks ---- pretty bored of looker, oh well. looker does visualized analytivcs with your sql db btw. also, getting connections made to our sql db was a gigantic pain in the ass - also our sql db is dashdb which is basically db2 and let me just tell you right now that if you don't put "quotes around literally everything in dashDB then dashDB will shit its pants all over the floor and down your own, you the developer's, leg".
