@richgreenleaf : “trust me, alright?”
they're not in the habit of trusting people, especially people who seem to have it easy. one look at him says he's a person with money, with a good lifestyle. they know they shouldn't judge, thanks to the life they live they have good money too, but he doesn't seem like the criminal type. they certainly don't recognize him from any circles they've drifted in. a handsome stranger, seemingly a good person, trying to help them out of a bad situation... is that not what they dreamed of when they were younger? of course, this situation — being beaten up and discarded in the street — is nowhere near as bad as the life they used to live. but september... well, they never saw the bad in their old life. wanted to be rescued, but refused to admit to a bad situation, to their father being a villain.
they take his hand, pull themself up from the ground. it's only when they stand that they realize how tall he is ( or do they just seem so much smaller when they're hurt? they're already petite to begin with ). it's almost intimidating, but they try to push down any fears. “ not likely. ” but its obvious, despite their words, that they'll accept the help. obvious that they'll trust him at least enough to let him look after them for a bit. despite their size difference, and the fact that they just got beat to shit, september’s sure that they could weasel their way out of danger if they needed to.
