If you’re not going into battle trailed by an orderly carrying a decanter of wine on a silver platter, what’re you even doing, bro?
Me, a few days ago: I have to go visit family over the weekend for the 4th, so I may as well pick Rick Atkinson’s The British Are Coming off my shelf for when things get tense. Evidently the book is overflowing with minutiae, and I’d love to glimpse the broader picture of what was going on militarily. So… it’ll just be a “for fun” read.
