Rick James Album "Throwin' Down" (1982).
In 1980, Prince was still gaining fame and went on tour supporting Rick James - who was arguably the biggest star at the time.
Unfortunately after a show in Jackson, MI - Prince was arrested - apparently the story goes that Prince boarded a flight with his band mate keyboardist Dr. Fink. The day previously they had both been shopping for a bullhorn so that they could use it on stage in their next elaborate stage show. Fink had smuggled the bullhorn on to the plane and hid it in the overhead bin. According to the police report, a lady sitting behind Prince & Fink informed the flight attendant that they were hiding something suspicious. Moments later the pilot then announced to passengers there was federal offense being investigated, and they were dragged off the plane before ever leaving the tarmac. Sky Marshals searched and arrested Fink, finding cocaine on his person. Prince voluntarily went to jail with Fink to show solidarity. Afterwards Prince and Fink posed for pictures and signed autographs in the Jackson, Mississippi jail, which only fueled their legend, fame and ticket sales for the rest of the tour.
