The secret is out
This is a quintessential Istanbul shot! This is one of the many ferries that run people back and forth between the Asian and European sides of Istanbul - the fare is only around $1.50 US (one way) and you can grab a glass of hot tea and a simit (Turkish bagel) either to eat or feed to the seagulls. In the background of this shot is the Suleymaniye Mosque (built in the 1500s).
Misinformation and drivel written by Rick Steves concerning the Dingle Peninsula
"Glorious, green Dingle is vintage Ireland"
by Rick Steves

Dingle town does not have 52 Pubs and most locals do not claim this ...
"Fishing once dominated Dingle" Fishing is still very important to Dingle just ask the locals and the restaurants
Why do certain Americans call small Irish people elves well at least Leprechauns were not mentioned.. Plenty of small people in the USA
" green Dingle is vintage Ireland" WTF the UK is green as well.. and when I visited Washington DC the grass was lush green Rick Steves is fixated with rain and the Dingle Peninsula .. Hmm the weather in the USA can be very nasty in the winter
"When I told him where I was from, a faraway smile filled his eyes as he looked out to sea and sighed, “Aye, the shores of Americay.” - Was Rick talking to Tom Cruise when he was making the film ' Far and Away ' ?
No mention of Fungi the Dolphin ...
No mention of the diversity of people living in the Dingle Peninsula
I could go on and on ..

Me when my answer to a question is correct…
Cuisine in Kinsale, Ireland - Travel with Rick Steves!
Listened to Travel with Rick Steves show today and was thrilled to hear a show based on the cuisine of Kinsale, Ireland. I spent time there in 1997 and was amazed at the variety and high quality of the food and wine...even back then.
With my Irish passport in hand, I plan to take a "heritage tour" to Ireland soon...and Martin Shanahan's Fishy Fishy Café in Kinsale will be on my itinerary!
Have a listen!
Rick Steve in Iran is the worst. Not watching it again.
Any Rick Steve fans out there? How about Steve Ricks?
