Sallow Hills was dissimilar to most places. Many of the residents have unusual abilities or powers, and if not, most still knew about them. Just a month prior, all of those with abilities came full circle when everyone in town was striving to solve that murder. In a way, it was kind of like what happened when the JSA came together to take down ISA. Though that was hair-raising, it was cool to do something good for once.
This week would mark five months since Rick arrived, and although it wasn't the worst place he had been, he undoubtedly did not want to stay much longer. Back home in Arizona was crap, but it was home or at least the only one he had ever known. If Rick were honest with himself, he had stayed and abided by his uncle's provisions and even dealt with the abuse because that town was the only connection and vague picture he had of his parents.
A loud exhale slid from the rims of his mouth as Rick's fist dug an immense hole into the side window of the car he was fixing or attempting to. He had spotted the vehicle in a garage dump days ago, and decided it might be fun to repair, kind of like he did with his dad's old car. Rick was not a mechanic by any means, but instead, fixing cars was just one of the few ways he knew to calm himself, especially when his emotions got unchecked.
" Fuck it." No matter how hard he tried, anger and rage controlled his every action. Rick's brown hues swiftly opened and elevated as he heard a woman's voice. " YES?" Her intent was presumably to chastise him, and he really didn't want to deal with this right now.
