We all have something that takes the pain away. You thought about it then, didn't you? Even if you're nowhere near it, you know what it is. Maybe it's getting lost in a digital world for a few days only taking breaks to sleep a few hours, maybe it's reading so many books that you can't even fathom why this world is so... plain? Maybe you drink, or smoke or just try to numb it for a little while. It's all okay.

The most potent though, is them. You thinking of someone now? Yes, maybe someone you ought to not miss because they left you, maybe someone you know you've moved on from but the fact that they exist exasperates you... maybe it's someone new? Maybe it's someone you just started talking to. You like the way their eyes have the unique mix of browns, greens, blues, reds, grays, and purples(for anyone who doesnt know, the eye does not manage to hold one color.) and that mix is just perfect for you. Or the way they smile, or laugh, or even the way they say the word "dammit" under their breath. It's all attractive to you, even if you can't explain why. This is love. And whether you spread it, you let it go, you confess it... it will always be a part of your heart and mind.

For those avid game players and readers out there alike, I hope you found someone who can turn the pages of your story in a good way and enter in the correct combos to your heart.

I felt the gravity of the world pull me back down from cloud nine.

I hit the ground too hard, yet I still said "I'm fine."

I know that everything, even this pain, is temporary,

But that doesn't make the fall any less scary.

I turn my back to you, tears in my eyes.

WARNING: TRIGGERING "Failure" by Ricki Labrinth

I live here in a world where bruises and cuts change and cover your body like a new outfit. A place where you hear the words "I love you" only on the TV or in meaningless songs you sing. Where a mother who was suspected for neglect and a father for abuse. Two children hiding in their rooms. The youngest would get mad, and stomp off only to be grabbed and forced to the ground by the older. When they finally get over the argument, they're at peace with each other but not with themselves. The younger bullies other kids at school while the older cuts and breaks in her room, scared that she's turning into them. The next day, its normal. Rain hits the school's window panes, bruises are covered with fabric and lace. The eldest tries to sleep with her head on her desk since she listened to them fight all night before. The youngest reads ahead because she wants the distraction. Days past and the younger tries to cut in the shower but doesn't know how. She gets out, drying herself off and doesn't dare look in the mirror. She goes and finds the older hanging from the ceiling fan, turning blue, sobbing because when her parents said she'd fail at everything... She didn't know she'd fail at dying too. Ricki Labrinth
