this is more of a side thing and you can totally ignore it but the way he talks about the fandom writing fanfiction about these people and shows the character tags of lawrence stroll and briatore like all of these fics 1) were written after the epstein files were released and 2) portray them in a positve light like bro just use one of your brain cells😭😭😭 like if the majority of F1 fans don't like them, you can be sure that the majority of F1 fanfic writers don't stray that much from the general opinion on them
I used to listen to a podcast, first it was called “potterotica” and then it was called “fangasm”, and their thing was to read fanfics and make comedy. However, they reached out and got permission from every writes who’s fic they used, a bunch of their listeners sent in fics specifically for the podcast, and most importantly: they didn’t make fun of the fanfics. Actually, they often spoke of how well written the fics were, they rated the fics of how horny they became, had running gags with some characters that had nothing to do with how the writer wrote them but all to do with the creators doing funny voices. The comedy came from the creators commentary, not from making fun of someone else. Also, they didn’t cover RPF, which I think is very important.
I’m just disgusted with how he could think this was an okay idea? Truly idiotic. And to also market it on a video about a topic that’s honestly really really disturbing and important, like you said, is even worse.
If I have the energy after work I’m going to comment to ask him if he’s gotten permission to use others work, and how much of his earnings he’s planning on giving the writers. Because also he’s literally making money off of the backs of fanfic writers who share their art for free. I don’t want him to get hate, but I encourage others to also question his decision and tell him it’s not okay.
