little sister rainey, me, and big brother robbie.

with robbie helping, i thought maybe i could relax some.

then the little reminded me she’s kind of a menace. lol.

the little got her nails done today.

pink, obviously.

on the thumb, she asked for me.

i appear as if i had too many monsties. it’s perfect. very accurate overall.

i think being loved gently in these tiny ways changes a frog over time.

the little was away for 10 days.

i did not like it.

it was too quiet. i kept reaching for someone who wasn’t there. very embarrassing for me personally.

i thought about whether i failed as a caregiver. i still don’t fully know.

but she came back home.

she’s resting. i’m supervising.

i think sometimes that’s all you can do. stay nearby long enough for things to settle again.
