A giant Chinese Mitten Crab that the RI CRMC (Costal Resources Management Council) has named "Mitzilla", has emerged from the Providence River at Waterplace Park in Downtown Providence. The Mitten Crab (scientific name: Eriocheir Sinensis) is an invasive species of RI waters.
