She stops only to throw on her canvas apron with the ladybug on the pocket, and her heavy duty, reinforced gardening gloves, then heads straight to the boys.

She arrives home just in time to watch her own back disappear through the door on her way to retrieve the orchid in the first place.

Giggling, she collapses, and takes out her phone.

As far as she knew, it was a common garden phalaenopsis, and the boys just had a blind spot for plants. Still, she couldn’t help but hope for something really unusual.

She scooped her hair back with a sparkly headband and hopped through an impromptu door.

The decor was different from the last time. They must have redecorated.
