Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, A Rock Musical
The Ridgefield Theater Barn is helping to put the “pop” back in “Populism”, bringing the cult musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson to the stage starting May 30th. This R-rated rock musical, book by Alex Timbers, music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, directed by Alicia Dempster, musical direction by Eli Zoller, choreography by Regina Sweeney, and produced by Wayne Leiss, will be presented Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm from May 30th through June 28th, with Sunday matinees June 8th, 15th and 22nd at 5pm.
A mix of historical fact and invention, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson uses the story of America's controversial president to investigate the attraction and terrors of American populism, using a blend of outrageous comedy, anarchic theatricality and infectious Emo rock. With a driving rock score and smart, funny scenes stuffed with satire, this show is a bombastic blast of energy and attitude and is best described as a cross between the raw and sometimes vulgar comedy of South Park with the intelligent political commentary of The Jon Stewart Show.
Due to strong language and adult situations, it is not recommended for children.
Tickets are $26 for adults and $22 for students and seniors. Seating is cabaret style and patrons are encouraged to bring food and drink to enjoy before the show. Doors open one hour prior to curtain. Reservations and more information is available at www.ridgefieldtheaterbarn.org.

With more than 40 new shows coming to Broadway every year and cabaret acts at exclusive clubs in New York City, it’s hard to take them all in. For a true Broadway/Cabaret experience that’s within reach, The Ridgefield Playhouse’s new series brings the best stars to town to share their talents with intimate audiences in the Playhouse theatre. The star for the past two years of the hit sensation, Jersey Boys, Jarrod Spector, who played Frankie Valli, is coming to perform his concert Minor Fall, Major Lift on Friday, April 26, at 8 p.m.

Swimming at Windwing. A relatively new activity for Miss Blue. She doesn't really like the water, but seems to be getting into it a bit more now.
