Today’s Suikoden II character is Gengen!
Gengen fight hard! Captain Gengen!
I love Gengen, okay? He’s probably one of my favorite Kobolds. He’s so cheerful and tough! And he doesn’t let humans boss him around. I headcanon that humans tend to be condescending to Kobolds, whether they intend to or not, especially if they’re not serious geniuses like Ridley. Gengen sees right through this BS, although he has a weakness for beautiful women, like Leona.
I always have Riou call Gengen “Captain Gengen,” because dammit, he is older (in Kobold years, anyway), and probably has just as much fighting experience. Plus, it’s cute to see Riou and Tuta both call him “Captain Gengen.”
That’s enough talking for today! Goodbye, and I hope we meet a-Gengen!
I hate myself.
Today’s character is Boris Wizen, Ridley’s son.
To be honest, I don’t know much about Boris. He’s a fine specimen of a Kobold. Also, his name isn’t spelled weird, like “Borus.” Probably because it’s actually supposed to be “Boris,” and it’s not an adaptation of “Bors.”
I mean, I hear Boris is pretty loyal. He must be, if he joins the army after his dad dies. Poor Ridley’s passing won’t make the game unwinnable. That would put him on the same level as Gremio, except Ridley doesn’t get to come back to life. Poor Ridley.
Ridley’s actually pretty good-looking, too. I mean, Boris is.
Wait, who was this about again?
Today’s character is Ridley!
Gosh, I love Ridley. He’s smart and serious and grumpy, just what I love in a man! Who cares if he’s a Kobold? If I had to pick one Kobold to bang, Ridley would be it. It’s not bestiality, because Kobolds are sentient.
Okay, you want me to say more about Ridley? Fine.
He’s competent. He admires Riou. He’s loyal as hell. But he doesn’t take shit from people who look down on Kobolds. That’s why his little ploy with Shu, where he pretended to be upset that Kobolds were being placed on the front lines, was so believable.
His son is a nice piece of work, too. ;)
“108″ days of suikoden 2.
