Drawtober #1: "Garden of Magick"

An adventurous cat stumbles into a bewitched garden of flowers.

Here’s a quick doodle of my Umbreon from Pokémon Sword. I drew this using a red colored pencil for the rough sketch and a dark red pen for the inking. His name is inspired by Achernar, the name of a star in the constellation Eridanus. The added ‘t’ is for a slightly different pronunciation, and because I think it looks cool.

The first image is a photo of a pumpkin I carved around Halloween last year (while it was lit up at night). The second image is a thumbnail of the design I created for it beforehand. The design depicts a fox wearing a witch’s hat. Its paw is resting on a lantern as it rides a broomstick across the full moon.

There were a lot of little details in this one, so I went very slow and carved out the details before doing the big cuts.
