Okay so hear me out Kaz's mom is never mentioned, and in fanfics everyone assumes she died giving birth to Kaz, right? What if she didnt? What if she just left them, and Kaz was too young to remember, so his dad and Jordie told him she died so he wouldn't remember her as "the one who left them" but "the one who died with them" And just one random day she strolls into the old house that Kaz now owns when he's doing a check-in with the staff being like "Im back son" and he's like "who the ever-living fck are you?"
