Last night was Riff Fest, which I was lucky enough to attend with my parents. For those who don’t know, Shinedown is my all time favorite band, and their performance last night... well, let me put it like this. If you hate rock, if you’ve heard their music and despise it, you should still see them live. Their performance, their stage presence... its the most incredible thing I have ever seen. I have seen them live four times now, and they have surprised me each time. (And yes, I should have worked more on my writing this weekend, but today was recovering and I was out for over twelve hours yesterday. On 26 January, Rifffest came to the Lending Rooms, Leeds, bringing some top local rock talent any purveyors of some fuzzy, wooly riffs. Playing the fest was False Advertising, Hands Off Gretel, Brooders, Faux Pas, Household Dogs, Adore//Repel and Bloodhound. We headed down to get some photos of the riffy action.
