Here’s that very self indulgent self-insert OC that I talked about yesterday. He’s simply known as “Ezra” and uses he/they pronouns. I’ve had him in general for a while now, and I use him for my Dragon Quest blog, but I also wanna use him for other stuff. So now I’m using him as a Rift World OC. (?)

So here’s a little about Rift!Ezra:

He is 5’3 and weighs about 110 lbs. (plus 15 lbs. per wing).

It is unknown how Ezra came to be a patient at Arkham Sanitarium. Some say he felt the pull or heard the unspoken call leading him there, like many other patients have, and others say he was captured by William Clemmons due to his... unusual nature concerning the Rifts.

Ezra is unable to travel through Rifts physically. His consciousness leaves his body and traverses the Rift, finding its way into a new body to act as its host. In a way, his consciousness is almost like a parasite. He likes to call his host bodies his “personas”.

Over time the host’s brain overpower’s Ezra’s, letting their memories leak into Ezra’s consciousness and replaces his own memories. If he stays with the host for too long, he essentially becomes his host. Returning to his “original” body is the only way to reverse the effect.

It is actually unknown if Ezra’s current body is his true original body. Not even Ezra himself is sure. All he knows is that Corvus has given him body modifications, including his wings, square red eyes, and removing his reproductive organs.

On a completely unrelated note to all that, he absolutely hates shoelaces and refuses to wear shoes with them.

Why is nobody on here talking about Ephemeral Rift?

Why is nobody anywhere talking about Ephemeral Rift? Like, he's just the creme de la creme for experimental ASMR. Narrative, inventive, unique, and very funny stuff! His Rift World series is so fun: Lovecraftian influences with lots of soft, sweet humor and kind characters! Feel important and loved by some wacky guy tapping on a shoe and whispering! Why isn't tumblr crazy for this?

Like, I don't even tingle, but I want to write essays on this guy's work.

I feel like I’m late to the party with ER fan art, but I can’t get enough of this guy. He’s a cinnamon roll that everyone needs in their life.

I hope to make more art of him in the future.
