Right-Handed Images Quiz
The Right Side of the Brain
I'm reading Betty Edwards book - "The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". First excercise from the book is take a mirror and try sketch self-portrait. Sketch should show my current skills.
I don't know what I should think about this sketch, because I see little similarity, but don't too much. I really like this sentence from book, because it is is like a promise for me:
"Drawing is a teachable, learnable skill that can provide a twofold advantage. By gaining access to the part of your mind that works in a style conducive to creative, intuitive thought, you will learn a fundamental skill of the visual arts: how to put down on paper what you see in front of your eyes. Second, through learning to draw by the method presented in this book, you will enhance your ability to think more creatively in other areas of your life."
I will try finish every excercise from this book and We will see together my progress. Hopefully this book will let me more confident in drawing.
Next excercise was drawing person from memory.
I'm a little ashamed of this drawing, because is too ugly to show. :D
For me It's really hard to imagine person what I know. I don't remember too much details.
Last excercise for check my skills was drawing my hand. I put my hand on the table and start sketching.
I was surprised my result.
I liked this exercises, because I never draw self-portrait or my hand.
I believe the logical progression for a person starting out in artistic expression should be as follows: From Line to Value to Color to Painting

I love them. I want them eventually. I think they are so cute, even when crying. I have dreams of having my own and when they start to walk, hearing their little pitter-patter feetsies running into my bedroom to watch the sunrise from Momma and Daddy’s bed.
I am pretty equal- sided. That is interesting!
