It didn't matter how many times Castiel went in for an exorcism, there was always that nervousness. A fear-- a completely rational one at that. It wasn't like in the movies. Generally it was very hard to get a demon tied to a chair. And in the priest's experience, the family very rarely wanted to help with this process. No one else cared to go with him on these little escapades. Most considered it folly on Castiel's part. Doing an exorcism without approval could mean a complete excommunication from the church.
But if someone needed one, Castiel saw nothing wrong with preforming. He'd been given the location and time but why did they always seem to be at night? He sighed as he walked through the building, a vial of holy water open in his hand and ready to be used offensively if need be. All the priest was really certain of was there was what someone thought to be a demon in this building and it was his job to get rid of it.
Breathe caught in his throat at the tiniest of movements and at this moment, fasting to increase his spiritual fortitude no longer seemed like such a good idea. He could already feel his stomach threatening to growl. What an embarrassing and awful give away should there be a demon. One this Castiel really disliked was being mocked and that would give one of those things more than enough ammo to have him irritated. He thanked the Lord that the building appeared to be deserted for the most part. The priest allowed his thoughts to become so wrapped up and tangled that when he rounded the corner-- whether the man before him had black eyes or not, he instinctively splashed the whole vial of holy water in his face. The man looked disgruntled, which was something Castiel couldn't hold against him. Sanguine eyes widened in shock at his mistake and he fumbled to get a handkerchief from his pocket. "I'm so sorry-- you need to get out of here though. It's dangerous. I just.." mistook you for a demon. Was that something he could say and be taken seriously? With a frown he dabbed at the other with his handkerchief in an attempt to dry him a little. "I'm looking into something. I really am sorry. It's just water, so it really shouldn't have any affect on your clothes.."
