Two of my favorite boys. (Beckham’s getting so big, I’m going to cry)
I have returned. And with the most adorable little man, to boot. Beckham Myles Murphy. Aka, little sprout. ;) He was born February 12th at 3:48 am. It was a pretty smooth birth; you know, for birthing a 7 lb 12 oz small human from a verrry small place.
We’re both healthy and doing well. The family, both mine and Grey’s, have all been by to see our little guy. I’ve just been trying to take it easy, as much as I can. Easy, I suppose, is relative with those late night wake up calls and the feeding and the diapers. But I wouldn’t change a thing. This little guy is such a gift and I already love him more than I ever thought it was possible to love anything. And Greyson’s crazy head over heels for him, as well. Anyway, I don’t have much to say, just wanted to update that our little one arrived safely and show him off since I think he’s so damn cute.
I’ll try to get back on here as soon as possible. We’ll see how that goes though. Between work and Beckham, I’m busier than I’ve ever been.
Bumpdate: Week 38
Figure I should get one of these things up since it’s been a while and the countdown has begun. At least for me.
* How far along: 38 + 5
* Due Date: February 2017
* Size of baby: fruit/veggie--rhubarb; cute weird animal-- Pomeranian
* Belly button–In or Out: It’s kind of flush.
* Stretch marks: Thank you, mother, no.
* Symptoms: Well, my breasts started leaking...that’s pleasant.
* Sleep: Not very well. I’ve been reading. Nothing high-brow, just those books you find for free or super cheap. The sensual romance ones with cyborgs are my favorite. Who knew they were a thing? Anyway, they’re my guilty pleasure and shameful secret. lol
* Mood: Tired and excited.
* Exercise: I’m trying to keep it up but it’s taking more effort than it should. Greyson forces me to go walking around our neighborhood with him everyday once he comes home from work, though.
* Looking forward to: Meeting this little sprout. I’m really excited that it’s just about time. :D
* Names: Wahaha. We’ve narrowed it down to two! lol
Hey, everyone! Welcome back from the holidays and happy New Year! I know, I’m really late with that, but--as they say--life. Our first Christmas together was great, we spent it with Greyson’s family. Finally got to meet his brother and sister-in-law. They’re really sweet. Other than that, it was quiet for us. Grey’s been watching football, you know. Still is even though his team’s fallen out of the playoffs or whatever. (Can you feel my eyes roll? haha) And I just had my birthday, which was fun. Daphne was able to come into town. I cried. lol And today we finally got the nursery fully set up! Grey did most of the work while I sat in the rocking chair my father sent over, giving directions and admiring the view. ;) God. I’m 37 weeks already. It’s so crazy. Only a few more weeks and we get to meet the little sprout. I can’t wait! <3
Until next time...
Bumpdate: Week 32
Holy crap, I can’t believe we’re already here. It’s like the final countdown or something. lol Also, I may be even less active than usual, what with the holidays and all, but I’ll try to pop in as much as possible! But I hope you all have a wonderful holiday, whichever one you celebrate. (Or a nice winter if you don’t celebrate) :D Okay, let’s get this going.
* How far along: 32 + 2
* Due Date: February 2017
* Size of baby: fruit and veggie terms: jicama; cute weird animal: Naked-tailed armadillo (lol I don’t think these two really translate. That armadillo is huge compared to the jicama >.<)
* Belly button–In or Out: It’s still...in-ish? hah It’s not protruding but it’s not as deep as I’m used to.
* Stretch marks: I don’t have them yet and may not get them at this point. Remind me to thank my mother for her fantastic genetics.
* Symptoms: God, do I ever. lol Leg cramps, fatigue, shortness of breath.
* Sleep: I wish I had more. I get tired but when I try to sleep at night, I just cannot find a comfortable position.
* Mood: Besides tired, pretty cheerful. It is the holiday season after all and I have a lot of things to be grateful for. <3
* Cravings: Okay, I love coffee. And I’ve been really good about not drinking it, but I just really really wanted one while we were out shopping, so I bought one! Don’t worry, it was decaf, so not as much caffeine, but omgggggggggg it was delicious. I’ve missed it so damn much.
* Exercise: Does snuggling count? lol It’s so cold. And as a girl who spent most of her life in the Southwest, I’m not used to it. We have the heater on and the fire going non-stop.
* Best moment: Thanksgiving. I know that was a couple of weeks ago, but it was really nice being able to spend it with my father and mother as well as Greyson’s parents.
* Looking forward to: Christmas! Grey’s parents have a big gathering at their place and his brother and his wife will be there, also. So that will be really fun. A little sad that I won’t spend it with my parents but we got in time when they came to visit over Thanksgiving. They stayed with us for a week. But they’ll be going back to New England (from Arizona where they currently live) to see my father’s family. My great grandmother is pretty elderly and they don’t know how many more Christmases she has left.
* Next Appointment: It’s coming up, but it’s after Christmas and the New Year. Marian will be out of town for the holidays, visiting her family as well.
Hey there everyone. It’s been a while, huh? Just wanted to throw a little update on here. This is from Thanksgiving. Mine and Greyson’s parents came over for the holiday. It was really great. Especially because our mom’s took care of the turkey. lol I only really had to help with side dishes and desert, which I was more than okay with. Other then the holiday season, I’ve also been incredibly busy because I moved into Grey’s place. It’s bigger than my small condo, which I’m renting out at the moment, so it made the holiday gathering much more do-able. Plus, with the little sprout making his way here soon, we thought it best. I told Grey I’d only agree if I didn’t have to do any of the moving myself. hah He agreed easily enough and had his buddies help out with the promise of beer and food. Guys are such simple creatures. ;) So we did all that just before Thanksgiving...and now here we are, almost Christmas! Wow. I’m already exhausted. But it came with snow, which I haven’t experienced since my college days, so I’m actually kind of loving it.
Anyway, it’s getting late. Just wanted to say, hey. Hope you’re all having a great holiday season, no matter what you celebrate! <3
Bump Update: Week 23
* How far along: 23 + 3
* Due Date: February 2017
* Weight gain/loss: Honestly I don’t remember. I know I’m around where I’m supposed to be so I guess that’s all that really matters, right? Right.
* Started to show: Is this even a question now? haha No, but really, I should just stop copy/pasting this here....
* Maternity Clothes: We have progressed to lazy days spent in leggings. lol I know I still have a little less then half to go, but with the cold weather and this extra weight, definitely don’t want my pants too tight. And I’m a tight pants kind of girl.
* Size of baby: fruit veggie terms-- grapefruit; cute weird animal-- chinchilla
* Belly button–In or Out: Still an inny. Yeah.
* Stretch marks: Thank god, noooo.
* Symptoms: Normal fair: constantly visiting the ladies room. Fun times.
* Sleep: I like naps. A lot. lol I feel like my body just gets more tired, more easily. Or often. Whatever. But that could also be because my sleep at night seems to be more restless.
* Mood: A little sad. I’m really missing Daphne. But I talked to her over the weekend and she’s doing well so I’m glad about that.
* Cravings/Aversions: This time of year, with all the food and festive beverages...honestly, I don’t even care about the food so much as the beverages. lol Hot cocoa, warm apple cider, eggnog...I want it all.
* Exercise: I do what I can. The outdoorsy stuff is a little touch and go with the weather being wetter and stormy, but I still do stretching and yoga. Mostly cardio.
* Best moment: Omg, I didn’t mention this, but I was at work Friday AND I FINALLY FELT THE LITTLE SPROUT MOVE!!! I’ve been waiting for that, so yes, major excitement.
Finally had some time to sit down and share these. We had a storm come through this weekend, but thankfully it was a bit more mild than expected. But these pictures are from last weekend. I had lunch with my friend, Marian, and her son, Jesse. Greyson likes his football on Sundays and it’s not really my thing, so I was more than happy to make other plans. It was really nice seeing her and getting to catch up a bit. And her kid is just the cutest little boy. She adopted the little guy from the St. Claire Orphanage earlier this year before moving out here. He was a little shy at first, but he warmed up to me as the day went on. Being near the little guy makes me even more excited and eager to meet my little sprout.
I should have my weekly bump update up later today, too. Think I may take a small nap before lunch, though. So, until then!
