riko doesn't come from a loving family. she always viewed love of something that had to be earned, but that she was never worthy of. unconditional love just wasn't in the cards for her…
and then she met you, someone who had so much love to give to everyone. especially to riko! you looked at her as if she was the center of your universe, as if she put the stars up in the sky. no matter what riko did, to you, she could do no wrong!
so many compliments and words of praise left your mouth when you were with riko. and it wasn't the type that riko was used to, like “you're so smart, you scored so high on your exam”. it were things like “you have such a beautiful smile, i just love to see you do the things that make you happy..!”
riko never had to perform for you, like she had to for others. she could fully be herself with you and she knew that it would be enough…
it was certainly something she had to get used to though. learning to accept that love that she got from you. and all that affection, it absolutely flustered her at first
