Hey there, Fandom! 🙂

I have some exciting news for you all! As of today, we have decided to expand content creation on the Bay Window Productions site to any and all Rilaya shippers! That’s right - using the newly-installed File Share app, if you sign up for a Bay Window Productions membership today, you and your friends can make a Rilaya fan film and upload it for others to watch with no hoops to jump through whatsoever!

It doesn’t matter how high or low the quality is or how long/short you make your film; if you want to make a Rilaya fan film or series for others to watch without submitting it to us first, you can now - just like with regular fanfiction sites!

All you really need is some inspiration and a team of like-minded people to collaborate with!

Hey, Rilaya fandom! 😀

I know it’s been a while since I last updated everyone on the project, but that’s because things have been really hectic with the crew’s work/schooling schedules, and mental health/motivation has been a struggle for me - so we haven’t been able to find time for production meetings since, like..... last April (yikes)

I sincerely apologize for that

In the meantime, I’ve done a lot of work on the website - including the addition of the Meet the Team, FAQ and Links & Resources pages, a new Members Area and Groups feature, and the decision to move the films/series streaming to the Blog

Right now, there are three Groups on the website, including the LGBTQ+ Support group linked above , so if any Rilaya shippers would like to join and find community/support, go ahead and click the link!

Discussion: Calling All Rilaya Shippers

What are the Rilaya fandom's thoughts on a hairy-legged Maya? 'Cause there's a very high chance that I might be playing her in Vanilla, and I haven't shaved my legs in over five years. It took me a few years to grow it out, too, and I really like my leg hair (plus... razors just freak me out, man).

My mom (and co-executive producer) feels that I'll need to make myself as much like Maya as possible, in order to play the role right, and that shaving my legs would be a good way to do that ('cause les be honest, Maya is a pretty femme character); but I also think there's an argument to be made that since she is the more tomboyish character out of her and Riley, that she would be more likely to have leg hair (and since her hair is blonde, people probably just don't notice it as much if she has it - which is true for mine as well). I also feel that since our target audience is the LGBTQ community, that you guys either wouldn't care/notice it that much, or you would celebrate the representation it gives.

So yeah, I'd love to know your guys' thoughts! 🙂 I'm not gonna base my final decision on whatever you guys say, of course (that will be my choice), but it would be helpful to hear your headcanons and how you think it would either help or hurt the role.

I love all of you guys, and I don’t wanna say goodbye to you; but if this is the last of Tumblr, I must admit that I will be sad to see it go. I know a lot of people like to refer to it as a hellsite - but honestly, for me, Tumblr has been the place where so many amazing things have happened in my young adult life (after being in probably the lowest place I’ve ever been)! This is where I first decided to join the Rilaya fandom and fight for Rilaya’s right to be canon, where I got my first girlfriend, where I started the Rilaya Indie Project, and where I’ve made some of the most amazing friends I’ve ever had in my life (@onceuponawar, @nuclear-gay, @once-upon-a-freaking-december, and @ne0n-crvsh being some of the closest)! To top it all off, I’ve felt so much safer here emotionally than with most of the people in my real life - and I couldn’t be more grateful to the creators of Tumblr and @staff for providing me with the opportunity to meet those people!

So if we will be saying goodbye to Tumblr soon - I just wanna say that it will be missed - if not by everyone else, then certainly by me!

Farewell, Tumblr! You did us all well - as much of shitshow as you can be at times!
