Riley Grayson’s culture and native language

Hello everyone! 

I felt I kind to have to make this to clear up any confusion someone may have on why I’ve chosen to use the Romanian langue for Riley Grayson’s native tongue. 

I get a lot of questions both here and on my fanfiction account addressing the confusion I may, and I just wanted to say, I have no confusion. 

I’m 100% aware that Romany (or Romani) people and Romanian people are two different things. Now, something I kind of have to address, they can be both. If you know anything about Romanian actually Romany people are a large part of their ethnic majority. 

This, not forgetting it’s nearly impossible to find a good online translator for distinct Romany language, I decided to use Romanian instead. 

Romany’s can come from Romanian (linkage), and because their is no described heritage lineage for Dick Grayson, I took creative measures and decided to use it. 

I love talking about her culture, I love expressing it in writing because I am a firm believer that a character she be expression of who they are and that should never be depressed. 

So, please, understand. I choose this language because it works for my character writing. I write fanfiction, and roleplay. Two things that don’t really mock up a lot in the academic and socialized world. So I’m sorry if it’s not that horrific for me to take a little change on things.

I thank people who come to me with honest curiosity, and true respect towards this question. I personally take anything about Riley really personally because I care about her. I hope that you can understand I wouldn't’ want to do anything to disrespect her character or her history.
