1, 12 and 20 for ao3 wrapped!
Ah, some good ones!
How many words have you written this year?
This is a metric I can only guesstimate at because I literally cannot keep track with the way I manage my documents T_T My best guess is 254k words, though it's upwards of that thanks to what I haven't posted yet.
How many WIP’s do you have in your docs for next year?
I'll just say I have over thirty unfinished concepts in my dynamic wip doc in varying states of progress, along with five others I'm actively working on that have their own documents. I am Vegapunk OTL
Which work of yours have you reread the most?
This changes depending on which fic I'm working on at the moment. Right now it's fly little seagull, the world awaits. It's been Father Like Son, Mother Like Daughter, Parent Like Child. Basically, if it's longer, I've needed to reread a lot in order to make sure I've gotten everything as down as possible.
I don't use spotify but if you wanna be nosy about fic stuff, drop me an ask!
For the character ask, Sengoku, 2, 6, and 21/22!!
2. Favorite canon thing about this character?
The easy answer would be that he took in Rosinante, but I'll go with how much he does not give a shit in his retirement. It's much clearer how he and Garp became friends, ha.
6. What's something you have in common with this character?
Let's go with us both being animal lovers.
21. If you're a fic writer and have written for this character, what's your favorite thing to do when you're writing for this character? What's something you don't like?
Exploring Sengoku's actions through the lens of Rosinante's death is fascinating to me. That was a big theme in the piece I wrote for the Dark Waters zine about his relationship with Drake.
22. If you're a fic reader, what's something you like in fics when it comes to this character? Something you don't like?
My favorite thing to read about is the dynamic between Sengoku and Law. Sengoku knows some pretty dangerous information about Law--that he's a survivor of Flevance and he's a D.--but so far he seems to be keeping that secret, probably in Rosinante's honor. On the other hand, Sengoku is a character who lives in the gray areas, and I'm not a fan of placing him purely in the black or white.
Thanks for the ask!
Send me a character and some questions?
Trick or treat!!
I know that you really did like Law becoming my 7yo OC's Cora-san dad vaor, so here's an excerpt from the next installment in the series. 208 words, retreads stuff from the prior two fics because it also deviates from the main story before they have this talk.
“Listen, I know I’m…” Fuck, this was awkward. “I know I’m not your real dad, but while we’re doing this, we should probably at least pretend like I am so no nosy aunties try anything.” “Law-san… you are my real dad,” Nauja replied. There was an uncomfortable silence between them, the only sounds being the waves against the sides of the ship. “My first dad… he wasn’t like you. He wasn’t mean, but…” She avoided eye contact, instead seeming very interested in what was going on behind Professor Nanuk’s ear. “What did you call your dad? In Flevench?” “Vaor, Vader, Papa…” “My dad wasn’t mean, but he also didn’t really like me,” Nauja said, her head bobbing in a nod. “My vaor loves me, because he teaches me, and tells me I’m good and smart, and does things to protect me that my dad would have never done. You gave up the crew for me… and I don’t know why, other than that you’re my vaor… and he would have never done that.” “Come here,” he requested, holding open his arms. The little girl stepped forward and allowed herself to be enveloped in his grasp, both glad that the hug was so warm against the cool night air.
Want a little fic snippet, WIP, behind-the-scenes info, or otherwise, hit up my ask (multiple callers accepted and encouraged)!
Trick or treat!!
How about a headcanon? Law started his coin collection with a couple of coins from Flevance that he had in his pocket the night his home fell. Practically, he couldn't use them since they would mark him a survivor, but emotionally, he couldn't get rid of one of the only things he had left from his home.

If you're still taking these, ⛔ 💖 🤯 💥 ✨!
Lol. Haha! Now I have to dig that post out, but all good. I need to kill in a bit of time before I head for a swim (although this might end up in drafts).
Answered: ✅ 🍦😈🤭 🎉 🤡🍆 🧐❌🥰🥺🛒🎢 Ooh, you really did your research, but I thought I answered that heart one. I'll check and see.
⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped? Yeah. I think everyone does, right? The work goes into the outtakes folder to maybe be used later. Or does it mean a public fic? I've deleted a few fics.
💖 What made you start writing? I've written my whole life. In the blood, I think. RE: Fanfiction, though, I think I needed to see the end to a story that hadn't uploaded for a long time. Just for my own satisfaction. Not published. (And porn got me into fanfiction, although I write all ratings).
🤯 What's a genre you struggle with as a writer (ex. romance, action, etc.)? Action can be hard to write, but is fun to write. I couldn't write a story that was pure action. I don't really like historical fiction, and not so much into science fiction (as anarchy cox also said), so I might struggle with those.
💥 How do you feel about criticism? In theory, I don't mind it, especially if it's well-supported. I also think that folks having an emotional visceral negative reaction to something you wrote because of the writing/topic matter, can be valid too. These discussions can be had. But I don't think that it should be a blanket statement with no further explanation. I can get as sensitive as anyone to criticism, but, again depending on where it comes from and how it's stated, it can help improve a piece of writing.
✨ Give you and your writing a compliment. Go on now. You know you deserve it. 😉 Ha-ha! I answered this one before, but, well, my humorous pieces still make me laugh, and my horny pieces still make me horny!
✅ 🍦😈🤭 🎉 🤡🍆 🧐❌🥰🥺🛒🎢 ⛔ 💖 🤯 💥 ✨ All of these answered! You guys are the best (sometimes I get no asks at all on these things, and that's just the way it goes).

Thank you for the ask!
💞 🕯️ 💎
Hello! Thank you for the ask!
💞 is answered here!
🕯️was there a fic that was really hard on you to write, or took you to a place you didn't think it would take you?
Some of the darker fics are/were difficult to post. Like, should I have pulled back (yes), what was I doing to poor Law, what did it say about me? etc. But with support of some far more experienced fanfic writer friends, I managed to assess that a little less subjectively and came to make my piece, but it's still nerve-wracking when those fics are newly published. Yeah, with long fics, I think the characters will let you meander and take them into all kinds of terrain and scenarios, and things can slot together really well, and I'm a vague outliner once I've got about 8 chapters into a long fic, and I often have the end chapter done, so yeah, anything can happen along the journey. Maybe the unexpected place was Dark Marco sleeping with Doflamingo in one of those dark fics! (not the main focus of the fic, btw).
💎why is writing important to you?
It allows me to express myself in ways I maybe couldn't when younger. For me, I think it's like someone who is good at soccer often works to become a better soccer player, and that might be their talent, and they enjoy learning about it, honing it, and strengthening it. I think if you have a talent that doesn't destroy you (and I think a a lot of the arts can only because I think a lot of people are initially very good at their craft or attached to it because it allowed them to communicate thoughts and feelings that they maybe didn't have voice for when younger, and there is often no overt awareness of this), but if you have that talent and it doesn't cause you unhealthy pain, use it (if you want to. Don't if you don't want to). However, regarding the communication aspect, it's a good idea to learn other ways of communicating when older, because the art cannot always speak for the person. Yeah, so maybe it was intrinsic to my growth and personality when younger. Regarding fanfiction, it doesn't have as much pressure as other writing forms, so I can still really enjoy writing, and get some insta-feedback, that you don't usually get in the original field, and yeah, still write when I'm not writing in other fields, and totally indulge myself. Maybe fanfiction writing has become too important and too all-consuming. Arghhh...
I’ve answered ✨ 💫 📡 , 🤲 , 🌈 , ☯️ , 🎈💥 🎀 🌻💌 💝 🌿🤍💞 🪄 🕯️ 💎 The ask is here if anyone else wants to ask! Although I think that means only 8 icons are left, and I'm just as happy to leave it here. Thank you so much for the ask(s)!!!
