I wrote up a little analysis on how The Nightly Manor uses irony. It's enrichment for me

So there's obviously the dramatic irony of us, the audience, getting to know the full story (or most of it) while the characters never will, since the case was closed. But there's also a lot of other instances that I think played into the irony in a really nice way.
For example, Ring being the first one to die. She was the one who set up the whole murder plot, but it backfired on her... pretty much immediately. To have built up such an elaborate plan, some kind of act of vengeance I suppose, only for it to fall back on her. She was already on the tail end of such a long string of bad luck, too. She intrigues me.
For Speaker and Sketchpad, they clearly weren't the most favored detectives in the agency—Sketchpad especially, but Speaker wasn't that well-liked either. Yet despite that, it took Speaker's death to finally give them the excuse they needed to get rid of Sketchpad. And, just stepping back a bit, the buildup that these two weren't the most successful detective duo is really fun to roll into after them being the ones to literally walk us into the show.
There's also the whole thing with Sketchpad trying to build a recovery center. There's the irony in that the very thing that was meant to bring back their friends' lives burned itself to the ground, but it's also that that failure brought him close to someone he can heal with. Something, something, the loss is what made them find each other...
And then there's Spray Paint's line: "We'll be sleeping in nice, big beds eventually." It's already been said, but that line was a direct reference to where they both ended up at the end of the story— in a hospital bed and a grave. That's clearly not what he intended when he said it, that's the irony of it. There's something to be said about that, I think—that everything he says (and does) just doesn't work out the way he hopes it will. He's such a tragic character, makes my heart ache </3
I'm also really fascinated (and heartbroken) at the storytelling decision to have so few "real" interactions between GPS and Tophat. We see them chatting at the very beginning of the series, right before they discover that they're trapped in the mansion. But that's the only time we see them truly interact. The next time we see them on screen together is when Tophat hallucinates GPS, after they've already died. And then, the whole sequence with the flashbacks in GPS's memories is just that—memories. We didn't have a true, current interaction between these two, until right at the end of the series, where GPS makes eye contact with Tophat right before he explodes. I'm not quite eloquent enough to describe it, but that. that's poetic.

i think about the scene with her watching the glimmering burn down and its differences between tnm6 and embers' ending. like specifically how long she must've been watching and the fact they just left her there and idk . i think shed see the silly visions of ruby like tophat did for gps in tnm4 (ˆ𐃷ˆ) euhhahhh
ring is my baby and been my fav since day ONE i made this in response to the HATERS and the ACCUSATIONS that she killed like 3 people bc she did but she is LITTLE and CUTE so it is OKAY. give a girl some slack she was just in a mood.
im just yapping, but i love her so so much she needs more love for how interesting she is once you think about her real hard all the time constantly every day.
