#speckled blabbers #if you don’t know: after the v4 beta update (which basically changed nothing for cyrene’s kit itself) they apparently muted the CN beta #like if that doesn’t say what her kit turned out to be idk what #niche limited and without e2 only rlly good for one or two teams; except her best team is ALSO the best team in the game which makes it even #better therefore despite having such limited use case they inflate HP an insane amount bc of the steroids she puts on cas teams #so not even just her kit being limited (then having the solution sold to you!!!) she buffs this specific team you need hyperinvestment into #and so raises the bar on HP inflation a shit ton. oh and the characters for said team happen to be outselling alongside her…#from a gameplay perspective she sucks. geniunely. it’s nice there are other syngeries like with her mydei buff that do improve his teams #but bc of the way her ult charges it’s still…not as good as it could be? it’s so stupid. if you re only going to allow CH in her teams #just make them ubercharge her ult too. Dont just limit the good charging to the rememberance unkts man #(except aggy. she does have charging but for some reason her BA doesn’t produce a stack????? aggy can’t have anything good in this world ig)#also idk shit abt elysia but I do think cyrene’s design is objectively bad character design; it’s pretty no doubt but it’s not Cyrene?#all I can find abt the reason for her outfit and bow is…elysia. I mean. start with Elysia and end with Elysia so ig Cyrene gets to be marrie #to…uhhhh idk? still feels like shit tho. esp putting on the wedding ring? and TB appearing in her bow animations???? I dont like the term #but. if there has ever been waifu bait this is it. just. ugh. makes me disappointed bc smol Cyrene was such a nice design and it’s sad that #there won’t ever make a ‘big’ iteration of it. Something else I came across on the reread that I feel really foreshadows how the epilogue will play out is this:

Following this quote, Katniss’ entire concept of romantic companionship and the creation of a family in her future is built around the existence of the games. When the games are abolished, nevers become possible.

Trust me, I’m the first person to look at an ending where the leading lady ends up with The Man and they have kids and it’s happily ever after with suspicion, but this time, it’s different. After a lifetime of fear, Katniss allows herself hope, because she can finally afford it. And I think that’s worth a lot.
