A little personal project that I’ve been working on for the last week or so - pressed leaf jewellery hooks. Since I started working at a jewellery shop - where we continually advise customers to !always! take their rings off when washing dishes - I have been trying to adopt this habit, and dammit, it’s been hard. I always forget and then do a sink full of dishes, and then look at my rings apologetically and thank my lucky stars that a stone didn’t get damaged or fall out and get swished down the drain, and then I vow to do better. Repeat for 2.5 years. So I finally decided I wanted a little hook next to the sink, where I can hang my rings when I’m in the kitchen, and it needed to be interesting/artsy enough to visually stand out so that I can stop losing my rings when I’m in the kitchen! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They are handmade from roll-pressed and forged copper, suitable for hanging jewellery and other light-weight things, I’m selling them for $55 each, which includes shipping within North America. They aren’t available on my #etsyshop yet, so please message me if you’d like one. The leaves used were all collected while I was hiking earlier this fall. Clockwise from top left: white oak, English ivy, beech, red maple, ginkgo, Japanese maple. 🍂🍁🍂 ... #copperleaves #jewelryhook #ringkeeper #goodhabits #kitchendecor #ladysmith #oakville #leafdesign #instasmithy https://www.instagram.com/p/B5i7U5RBTPZ/?igshid=cr6ifepwijjp
