Here's the protection I set up to discourage the ringtails from my avocado saplings. They've been getting at them from the fence and only eating the new leaves. I'm worried about the smaller one now, because it did not cope well with the 40+ weather.

Contemplating making a chilli wash and spraying it over the leaves if they get around. But so far one night has passed without them eating them.

YEAH HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT SPOTLIGHT THERES A FLOWERING EUCALYPTUS RIGHT FUCKING NEXT TO YOU GO EAT THAT YEAH YOU RUN FROM MY ARTIFICIAL LIGHT. THE AVOCADO LEAVES PROBABLY UPSET YOUR STOMACH ANYWAY THEY'RE TOXIC TO MANY ANIMALS GO EAT REAL FOOD.

I'm going to bed now, fingers crossed they don't get around my ringtail barrier.

Gonna have to buy a possum home at some point, hope it convinces them to move out of our roof.

2 nights in a row possums have eaten the new leaves off my avocado sprouts! Noooo they’re not big enough to survive this yet. Going to have to move them somewhere when I get home
