DAY 29: Favorite Overall Moment
After Squall and Rinoa get back to earth after having saved her from the sorceress's possession in space, Squall is forced to give Rinoa up and allow her to be locked away so that she does not harm any others as the new sorceress. (Are you following me here?) He doesn't want to, but Rinoa convinces him it's for the best, and the world will be safer with her gone. He feels helpless and begins to revert back to his old, introverted ways, telling his friends that he had no choice but to give her up. This was the only person he ever opened up to and loved and just like that, she's gone again. He almost lost her once and went through extreme measures to save her only to lose her again. His friends finally, FINALLY, convince him to waltz right through, kick ass, and take her back. And by hell, he does! He cuts up some bitches and saves her. It's almost like he's saying, "fuck what they say about you being dangerous, I love you, and I will do whatever I can to protect you," without actually saying those specific words, haha. This scene has always been my absolute favorite therefore proving that love can conquer all.
For a little while our disc 3 was messed up and every single time we'd get to this scene, it would glitch and stall, so Rinoa would be falling, then stopping, falling, then stopping, but she'd never make it to Squall. It was both sad and hilarious at the same time.
