After years of evading the police, Kudo Shinichi, a police android, is placed as a countermeasure against Kid. But things aren’t as black and white as they might seem. While androids in this world are considered as “just machines” by humans, some androids deviate and develop consciousness about feelings and freedom. For most androids, this is considered wrong and against their purpose – the reason they were created. Deviating is therefore very traumatic without proper guidance, especially if the change is sudden and triggered by stressful situations like defying orders and near-death experiences.
