Something i would like to do is either create a proper write up or video on TAWOG art style. Considering the fact season 1 had two styles; one very angular and the being more on model (This ignores the fact that epilse eyes can make there appearance in season 1)
Like Compare Gumball eyes here to this shot from the same episode (The Quest, also just realized Anaid has the ellipse eyes)
The Quest being THE first episode in production order makes me question how extensive the reanimation period was… WHICH SHOTS DID THEY DEAM WORTHY OF REANIMATING???

My rambling on season 1 doesnt even count for the fact we have extensive promo art and animation of the transitional art style from season 1 to 2.
This is from the Elmore Stream-it series, promo videos for the first season. This inbetween style is featured in the Series bible (everyone else is still rocking the season 1 style)
This bible is whole different story tho, so many concepts for characters basically thrown out considering it was made after season 1
Finally post season 3, they’ll randomly bring back the ellipse eyes for seemingly no reason

Each time these eyes are brought back i imagine that scene of peter ripping off rhe venom suit from Spider-man 3
Anyways yeah this is a simple long post glossing over a lot of things; penny using Virginie concept art design but not masami, The fact circular eyes were used half the time as normal eyes in s2… You can see why I wanna make a proper blog entry or video over this.
