Two of my friends have started Uni today and here's me doing nothing with my degree
2014
I clearly learned a lot. Experienced some loss, but thankfully had so much more to gain. The single most important thing I gained was the understanding that not everyone values loyalty. To friendships, family, significant others, pets, not even your mentors. Not everything valuable is considered sacred to everyone. That's ok. Don't loose sleep. Don't cling. Don't waste a single breath worrying about it. The past is nothing but dead weight keeping you from your future. Stay focused, stay consistently dedicated to your path and shrug off anything negative in your path. Your better then anything trying to pull you down. Forget the idea that you deserve anything less then better. Forget the notion of best because there will always be a new better. Strive for better because each step to better is just another shiny new best that someone else settled for. Don't settle. Don't be that person. I'm so ready for 2015. I have a strong and amazing family, a caring and thoughtful bf, an honest and supportive set of friends and a promising career path ahead of me. I'm beyond lucky to be so ahead in my life at only 24. From the outside it may not seem like much, but I'm holding down so much. My family is my reason for striving. I couldn't do any of it with anything less. Or anyone.
Writing the final chapter of Semper Fidelis...
Even though there are three more chapters (About) before we reach this point I just need to get it down before I lose the inspiration to finally do what I gotta do.
